“Enjoyable stay”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

We booked in for 2 nights B&B and 1 dinner, the reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. The lounge very comfortable where you could use wifi. The bedroom and bathroom were large but a little tired looking, on the other hand there was tea and coffee and toiletries available. Carpets in the hallways looked as if they needed cleaning which would improve the look of the hotel. Food in the restaurant was very good but limited at times due to lamb and chicken taken off as they were waiting for supplies, breakfast was fine and nicely cooked. On the whole a pleasant stay with lovely weather, this is a stunning area overlooking the river Tay.

We have visited Kenmore for the third time and it was magic. We had the Veranda room which was huge with an enormous bathroom.
We had the romantic package which included champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
The dining room is superb with a view over the loch what is picture postcard.
The food is wonderful wonderful choice of food and wine

Room Tip: We have had 2 rooms in the past 7 and 23 both been large and comfortable. Very quiet location.

I only ate dinner here as I was staying in Perth but out for a drive on a very pleasant evening

The menu available was good, the views from the restaurant lovely.

I elected to eat in the bar as the restaurant was busy and did not want to wait for a table. I found the atmosphere in the bar most convivial.

Staff were friendly. The food which arrived quickly was well cooked and presented.

I can recommend the Sunburst beer, most refreshing. Only sorry i had the car!

The general areas that I saw looked good.

Spur of the moment decision to stay in Kenmore overnight. Managed to get a room in the Kenmore Hotel. The room was spacious, clean and attractively furnished. No hotel info in bedroom unfortunately and shower was fiercely hot or off!! Had a lovely meal in the superb restaurant with fantastic views over the river - can highly recommend T-Bone steak and the mussels. Cracking bar with Burns influence and a smashing barmaid who will tell you a story or two about the whisky you're drinking. Breakfast next day was v. good with ample selection and very tasty haggis. Will be back esp. as they have fishing rights on the river.

We only had breakfast here and I was so pleased we weren't staying. The options were very limited. The fresh fruit option was just fruit cocktail and very little of this. Cheap tasteless yoghurts. Rubbery under cooked toast. We had a better breakfast at the premier inn we stayed in the night before. No Danish pastries or bread options.

Dissapointed given the reviews. As we travel with our doochies ( dogs ) pleased that the hotel accepts pets. The rooms they allocate are all outwith the lovely main building over the road in an annexe. The room had a nice view of the loch but was really quite basic, old fashioned TV set with only 4 channels, could not watch in bed as on floor on stand. Bathroom clean but could do with replacing, tempremental hot and cold water in the shower. Just a little tatty in places, very comfy bed and bedding a plus. The rooms in the main hotel look far superior. We always travel with the doochies and have stayed in 4 and 5 star where we are not placed in more basic rooms. It would have been more acceptable if the rate for the room was lower than the main hotel but this is not the case. The downstairs bar was good, nice big TV's, very imformal and lively, well frequented by locals. Had a bar meal which was very good but overpriced. Breakfast which was buffet style was a dissapointment. Only eggs available srambled and lukewarm, bacon was salty, sausages poor quality and overdone, toast very underdone. Lovely setting to eat spoiled by substandard breakfast. We paid £89 B&B special rate !. Not really good value for our stay in the annexe you miss out in the " Hotel " experience. If not travelling with dogs you would probably enjoy the ambience of such an old building and may be worth a stay ?

Room Tip: Stay in main hotel, if travelling with dogs leave in vehicle overnight if practical. If not stay els...

I stayed for one night as my friend was having their wedding reception there. The staff and everything to do with the wedding was lovely and i had a great time. The downstairs decor was very traditional in keeping with the theme. The bedrooms were huge, my only minor grip was the decor upstairs was a bit dated but everything else was superb! Would recommend
