I cannot fault this hotel. The welcome was warm and informative, including a walk around the public areas. The decoration and furniture was excellent with a wide range of good local artwork, and everywhere was clean and tidy. The experience was more like staying with generous friends rather than an impersonal hotel.
The service was excellent from all members of staff and the food was very good. Breakfast was wonderful with a full range of locally sourced food and a very special muesli created by the chief, which you can buy to take home.
The evening meal was set out as a number of “Bits and Bites”, but in practice this was excellent food worthy of many high end local restaurants. The bar service was great with a good selection of reasonably priced wines.
Yes, the rooms are a little more expensive than alternative hotels, but it is well worth it. Treat yourself to a wonderful experience, and with luck you will experience good weather as you sip your drink from the sun terrace overlooking Carbis Bay.More
