My partner and I stayed at the estate for one evening. We were greeted by the lovely and friendly Dan and Juliette who showed us around the property and settled us into our room. The spa room was luxurious and comfortable.
Pre-dinner drinks were designed by Kiera, who was amazingly helpful, patient and warm for the entire evening. She set us up on the terrace outside for dinner and matched all of our meals with perfect complimentary drinks. Dinner at The Long Apron was an experience of a lifetime. The food was at a culinary level only previously witnessed on gourmet cooking shows. The evening ended with a bubble spa bath drawn by the staff before we had finished our meal. To accompany the bath was French Champagne and dessert. The stay was beyond compare. We would highly recommend the estate to our friends.

This is the second time we have stayed at Clovelly Estate and again we loved every minute of it. From the moment we arrived, and Sam arranged a cheese platter and glass of wine as we had not had lunch, to going back to our suite after dinner, to find the spa full with beautiful smelling back oil and tea lights spread all around, it was fantastic. The room was beautiful and the entire estate is lovely.

Room Tip: We stayed in the luxury spa suite - worth every cent.

We had a 2 night stay, in a spa room, with the gourmet package. The room was fantastic....the bed wonderful, and the bathroom spacious and luxurious. We couldn't fault the staff or service. Our meal at Clovelly was nothing short of fantastic. Takes restaurant eating to a new level! The taste and the presentation was flawless. Breakfast was on the veranda, and again the food was great. The meal at Tamarind was great, but we did prefer the Clovelly, just for the "wow" factor. The grounds were meticulous, and the service great. As a special weekend, this place delivers, our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Next time we will certainly do a cooking class, and explore the other facilities available.

I stayed here with my wife a few months ago and we had a very pleasant one night stay.
We were the only people in the restaurant for dinner but the meal and service was 1st. class.
This Lodge is very suited to couples for a short stay. If you would like a relaxing night or two away this would be a very nice option for you. I would highly recommend this property.

Two night package was too short. Beautiful property in a french style with great gardens, walking trails, superb rooms and lots of areas to sit, read and relax. Then there is the food! Magnificently presented by talented chefs, every morsel savoured. All this within close proximity to Montville. My wife had a spa package and came back glowing. Definitely a place to put on the return list.

Room Tip: All rooms comfortable. As property on 22 acres noise not a factor.

We stayed for the gourmet package, 2 nights with degustations at the French restaurant and at Tamarind. The food was superb at both places. We preferred the Tamarind only because it was a lighter style of food, being Asian inspired.
The french food served at Clovelly was amazing, food as art. So much effort and talent went into both of the degustations. The property is lovely with a massive jacaranda tree, which would be magnificent in October. Lovely views to the coast. The bar area is intimate and the main lounge is French Chic, decorated with beautiful antiques. There is a gazebo and library for quiet reading.
We were disappointed to be given the room near the service entrance,as we did a
Sunday /Monday stay, especially as the estate was empty after Sunday lunch.
When we arrived it still looked busy with Sunday lunch in progress.
They did have a wedding over the weekend, however, we would have waited a little longer for a different room, if it was offered to us. The room was large but quite bland ,it had a small cute courtyard, but there was no privacy being situated where it was. From other peoples reviews it obviously pays to upgrade to a spa suite or refuse the room next to the service entrance.
Breakfast was" French style" they give you a tray of food, but very little choice with the menu, you should at least be able to order eggs the way you like them cooked, of course they recooked my runny poached egg, but it would have been easier to have asked at the start of the breakfast, before the toast and coffee went cold..

Room Tip: Not the room at the back, near the service entrance.

My husband and I got married at Spicers Clovelly in late September and our family & friends booked out the estate for the weekend. All of our guests were so impressed with the level of service, the attention to detail, the food and the guest rooms. The cottage is particularly beautiful, especially if there are six of you wanting to stay together. I loved all the L'occitane toiletries and the bed was so comfortable.

There is absolutely nothing I could fault over the entire weekend. The food and wine was outstanding and nothing was too difficult for the staff. They made us feel completely at home the whole weekend.

The breakfasts are amazing as was our dinner the night of our wedding. We are already looking forward to returning to experience another dinner there.

The price is up there but after returning from our honeymoon in the Maldives & Singapore we both agreed that the standard and experience is worth it!

Room Tip: Room 10 is absolutely massive and the cottage is beautiful.
