“A quick lunch”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

Ordered from quick lunch menu. Food superb. Beautiful flavours. At 1.30 my friend and I were the only diners and service was excellent. Difficult to find down a side street and then go upstairs which is not clearly signposted.

“Jicsaw restaurant”
Reviewed 26 May 2013 via mobile

Pls note change of name.
Very, very good Thai cooking, best in the area. Charming service...finding the place might be the issue. It's tucked away up a side street.

“Change of name, called Jicsaw Thai restaurant”
Reviewed 2 May 2013 via mobile

Went there on Wednesday evening for a meal was only us and another party ther. We ordered the chef special for starters amazing and hot. Then we ordered 2 main dishes I had the sweet and sour dish and my husband had the oyster sauce dish we also ordered noodle and stir fry veg to go with main. All food was good and hot, very quick to come. But that could be due we and another group were there. We will go there again but not on a weekend as it may be busy and food may take a while to come. We recommend for others to go there and try the Thai food out.

“Great find in Cricklade”
Reviewed 16 September 2012

We went out for a friend's birthday on Saturday night. After leaving it too late to book at our favourite Red Lion down the road we wanted to eat in Cricklade. There were 7 of us, along with two other smaller groups. Following on from the last review we decided to go and see what the new owners had to offer. We ordered starters and mains, and after a little confusion with a minor language barrier we got our order in. The food arrived promptly and was very good. The mains course was also very good. The atmosphere wasn't the best, maybe with a few more parties the atmosphere would be better.
Overall the meal was very good. Very good value for money and would definately recommend and revisit.

“use it or lose it”
Reviewed 14 May 2012

This restaurant has recently changed hands and is now called Jicsaw. Had an excellent take away from them so decided to try them for dinner.

Firstly to the food, we ordered across the menu; 4 starters, 4 mains plus side dishes and we couldn't fault any of them. A spiced beef dish was suitable hot; green thai curry also hit the mark and a roast duck dish was excellent. Prawn pad-thai had severla good sized king prawns and a side of pak-choi was perfectly cooked. All food was cooked to order in the kitchen which is in sight of the dining room.

New owners are a family - mother and daughter and possibly her husband (?) who do all the cooking. Service was welcoming and friendly although could be calling 'willing' rather than 'slick'. But we were the only diners on a Saturday night which is slightly worrying. For alocal smalltown restaurant, Jicsaw produces some of the best food in Cricklade and is definitely a cut above the local indian and chinese options - they deserve to succeed and are trying hard (free bottle of wine with dinner, luchtimes specials) so would be a welcome addition to the town as long as the locals come out and support them.
