While staying at the close by Manor Farm B&B (recommended) we booked a table for 4 at the Plough. Nice ambience and good service. Good food, although be warned the lamb was very pink and not to my wife's liking! The rest of the meal was very nice and the cost was average for a gastro pub.

We just had dinner there last night and then took a little stroll along the Thames path - gorgeous. Food was very good and atmosphere was true country pub, we loved it. The staff were attentive but relaxed - lovely experience.

Just a few minutes walk off the Thames Path, this has become a favourite dog walking pub for us, and especially in the spring and summer. A walk with the dogs, a trip to the pub and often a spot of lunch or early supper - perfect!
It's a beautiful building and the prettiest of settings. Have eaten here 4 times and. Ever disappointed. Homemade plaice gujons, homemade monk fish scampi are just two great variations on fish and chips. Three cask ales on, a good range of cold lagers and an excellent choice of wine and spirits.
There are some friendly locals around the bar, and the staff are always pleasant.
Dogs seem welcome and catered for with bowls of water. We haven't yet been to eat in the dining room from the ala carte but are planning to do so soon.
We will return again and again- keep up the good work!

I have eaten in this pub a few times and it has improved everything. The food was lovely if not a little slow in coming (a very bust Saturday night). The crab starter was nice but the bubble and squeak main course was delicious. Portions are quite small as seems to be the trend in gastrointestinal pubs. Service was good and staff pleasant.

Excellent place to stay. On booking months ago they emailed asking would we like to book a table for dinner. So glad we did they were busy service very good and meal excellent. Top place to stay, you could think you are getting lost getting there but worth the visit.
