My wife and I stayed at this hotel in room 309 from 29/5/12 to 12/06/12. The hotel was wonderfully situated with easy parking for our hire car in the hotels adjacent street. The hotel was immaculately clean and our room was spacious and comfortably with a balcony, air con and good side view of the sea. The staff were warm and friendly and extremely helpful especially Oscar one of the receptionists. We had booked half board and our meals both breakfast 7.30am/11am and evening meal 7.30pm/10pm served buffet style had ample variable hot and cold selections which were readily replenished. The bar area was clean, tidy and well stocked and not overpriced as sometimes happens in hotels. The rooftop pool and terrace were a delight with a beautifully clean watered pool with views of the surrounding area..We could not fault the hotel and staff in any way.

Room Tip: Although ground floor rooms have a small patio area with a sun bed provided there are no views from...

My youngest son's wedding La Herradura was the reason for staying at Sol Los Fenicios. The hotel is well run and the staff are excellent, helpful and very friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast selection was enormous from Spanish churros to bacon, sausage, egg and beans - all tastes are catered for. Our room was pleasant, and quiet, despite the fact the main promenade runs past the hotel. There was a/c but we did not use it. The swimming pool, although a bit small, was well maintained and inviting. My only slight gripe was that we had to pay 2.50 euros a day to use the room safe and although an iron was readily available through reception, there was no ironing board. However, these are very minor items and certainly did not detract one bit from our very pleasant stay. I would happily recommend the hotel and hope to return at sometime.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 2nd floor with a sea view.

My wife and I stayed here when going to a wedding. The ground floor room was simple, cool and clean.
The hotel staff are very friendly and seemed happy to put up with my attempts at broken Spanish.
We went just out of season, so there were very few tourists and it was lovely!
The roof top pool is ok, but a little shabby - the sea across the road is a far better option!!!!!!!!
Breakfast is good and it's a really great location.

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel at the start of a 10 day tour. Its situated next to a very quiet service road by the beach, where you can park right outside. There is a nice terrace for breakfast, afternoon/evening drinks etc.The reception desk and waitress where really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is great value, we paid the extra 20 euro per night for room 320, above the entrance with large balcony overlooking the beach, well worth it. On the top floor (theres only 3) is the small but nice rooftop pool with a balcony and comfortable chairs with great views. All in all a great value, clean hotel with excellent breakfast, just 100 meters (turn right out of the entrance) to some fabulous tapas bars serving free tapas with every drink in a friendly atmosphere amongst the locals. Enjoy La herradura, we most certainly did! * 1 word of warning!! dont use the restaurant directly in front of the hotel on the beach; well overpriced food in comparrason to whats available elsewhere.

Room Tip: Pay the extra 20 euro for a front sea view, well wrth it. Room 320 was great.

Very friendly and helpful staff of the hotel. Good service. Beautifull sea and surounding areas. Very good selection of food. Good conections with public transport/buses/ with small charming villages, Granada and Malaga. A lot of historical and cultural places to visit.
It is quiet place and it was very important for me.
Only small down point was a limited knowledge of inglish language of staff in the hotel. Bring Spanish dictionary with you.

Room Tip: with sea views or third floor with a side sea views

There are no luxury hotels in this resort and so this is probably one of the best. It is by all means not luxury but better than average and perfect for a short stay. The staff were very friendly. Rooms are nice, breakfast is good too. What makes this hotel though is the location, it is the perfect location for a beach holiday as it is a stones throw. I would definitely return.

For a boutique, romantic hotel stay then Hotel Tartana is the best, though the location is not so good and you will need a car.

We had 5 very relaxing and totally peaceful nights in the hotel 10th October to 15th October. The hotel room was absolutely stunning with a front sea view with a terrace and a side window with a small terrace. The room was spotless and the very spacious bed was extremely comfortable. The pillows on the bed (we asked to have three each no problem) were the softest pillows in a hotel we have ever had in Spain very important for a good nights sleep. The staff and the service in the hotel were outstanding nothing was to much trouble. The buffet breakfast was superb with everything to suit your taste. We found the cooked part of the breakfast was excellant eggs perfectly cooked and everthing allways hot. We opted for half board and the evening meal had plenty of choices and excellant cuisine the same standard as breakfast. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect it is situated right opposite the beach you just cross the very quiet beach road and you are on the beach. We used to eat our meals on the front terrace looking at the sea (so near) At night we watched the sun go down 7.45pm and then the most awsome sunsets we have ever seen, this experiance was all enjoyed during our meal (never be forgotten) We will certainly return again.
