After a wonderful day walking around the three villages and the Poqueira gorge we sat at a table in the village square at sunset and asked for 2 cervezas and tapas - vegetariano. Two .25 litre beers, olives, sliced tomato and cheese were brought out with bread. It looked fresh. We enjoyed this - but the cheese could well have been from goat (which we had specifically said we didn't want!). When we went to pay the cuenta it was almost 18 Euros! After an argument with the staff we grudgingly paid and later told some friends. They had heard of this happening to other "tourists"at this bar.
We should have kept the bill and reported this incident to tourist information staff. We took our slices of cheese and gave them away. Good karma?
