Well now, this place is different. We were just passing through when this hotel came up on the sat nav as night fell. You can stay here as a hotel guest, but it actually seems to be some sort of academy or training establishment (teaching something to do with finance or banking as near as I could determine). It also seems to be a casino (somewhere for the bankers to get rid of their cash I suppose). It is composed of several buildings. The Schloss (castle) at the top of the hill, and about 6 or 7 buildings immediately downhill of the castle. Most of these buildings seem to be new, (or at least newly refurbished), and at least one is still being built. Price was 100 euros I think, including breakfast and (something different) dinner too! Dinner was a buffet in an elegant room in the castle (complete with chandeliers and suits of armour). Breakfast was in a different (more modern) building, and was the standard buffet fare (perhaps more extensive than most breakfast buffets). Not a lot english spoken on reception when we checked in, but the morning shift were much more adept and helpful. Restaurant staff were happy to assist with sterilisation of baby feeding equipment. Our room was in a building some way down the hill from the castle, which seemed to be a building comprised solely of guest rooms. The room was large and clean, with a large desk and office chair in it. The bathroom was small with only a shower (no bathtub), but clean. We would stay here again should we pass this way in the future.
