There are five of us in a two bedroom apartment for last night and the next three nights. I have to say the location right on the beach is about the only thing this place has going for it. Only one of the four burners on the stove works. If you try to use a second one the breaker switches off and all the power goes out. Maintenance said they'd fix it today but it's supper time and no sign of anyone. 4 towels, one teeny foil packet of shampoo for five people, dirty bathroom, dirty rusty utensils and dishes and our balcony is directly over the delivery door so we were awakened way too early by very noisy activity. If we hadn't prepaid from Stateside we'd be out of here!

Stayed 2nd to 9th June. Arrived Alicante airport, which was about an hours drive away. Off of the AP7 at junction 768, off of the roundabout by the Wok house then all the way down Av Espana, turning LEFT at the T-junction (not right as per Google!), follow road straight down dip and up. Hotel is in front of you as the road bears sharp left.
Apartment for two adults and a child was sufficient. We had a huge balcony, which had two sea views. The apartment was simply furnished and had a hob, fridge/freezer, small microwave, sink. two bedrooms. The smallest was small, it had two single beds, but we had one teen with us so simply stood it against a wall, thus providing a sufficiently sized single room. Double room was sufficiently sized. Living area also had a bed settee. TV too, not too high tech. Crockery, cutlery, pots pans provided, but oddly in our room no kettle - but we used a pan for the occasional cup of tea! The hotel is a bWe had fuit dated and could do with a bit of modernising, but it was not shabby, and was kept clean and maintained to a good stardard. Staff friendly and helpful. We often go all inclusive and occasionally eat out on occasions. However this time full board was most on offer, but we were pleasantly surprised by the qualty and variety of food on offer. This was buffet style, serve yourself. So much so that we did not eat out at all. Its a quiet location with low rise residential apartment blocks, but little by way shops etc. Nearest supermarket a 10 minute walk away. A cluster of restaurants/bars 15 minutes walk away, no "strip" thiough.
The apartments on a low cliff, short walk down to a choice of beaches, all of which were clean, sandy, gently sloping well in to the sea with no rocks/pebbles at all! Water clean and clear. Sea very calm we went every day. Torrevieja half hour north (busy port but not very inspiring). Caragena about 45minutes south. Much more history, culture interesting.
All in all we though this was a little gem not on the radar of the big boys - thank god.

Room Tip: We were in front two floors above bar, there was hubub from there at night, but not noise in to earl...

We picked these apartments for our 9-month-old's first trip abroad and weren't disappointed. The apartments, and indeed the resort, isn't on the radar of any UK tour operators but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Our room (18) was quite basic and admittedly a bit tired but it was clean and suited us fine as a base. We had a great corner balcony with views across the sea and over the pool. We wouldn't have fancied one of the other apartments where the 2nd room faced the corridors outside as these could get noisy but ours had a window out on to the sea and our baby had a perfect sleep there every night. There was a small kitchen in the room but also the chance to get carry-out meals from the restaurant. These were quite basic but excellent value. No complaints about the pool area either which was spacious and clean. One big bonus for us was free access to a washing machine - essential for travels with a little 'un.

The Palmeras Beach is the only hotel in the small urbanisation of Mil Palmeras and seems to get most of its trade from Spanish who pile down there at the weekends. The rest of the resort is mainly comprised of private holiday houses. Quite a few of these are owned by ex-pats which means that English is widely spoken in the handful of bars and restaurants.

We would definitely go back to this hotel. If you want to meet lots of other Brits abroad in a lively resort then this aint for you. If, like us, you'd rather go where the Spanish go and enjoy a relaxed pace of life for a week then we'd definitelty recommend it.

Room Tip: The hotel is built in a V shape with reception at the base of the V. Try to get a room at one of the...

The hotel is near the beach in a quiet village. The swimming pool was good, the environment of the hotel was clean and nice.

The rooms and the bathroom was a little bit small, also there could be more light in the rooms and they need some modernising too, because furniture is quite old. We stayed here for one night and it was good, but we definitely would not stay there for a longer time.

Room Tip: Choose rooms which has a view to the sea.

Fantastic value for money, apartment spacious, large balcony with sea views, staff very freindly and willing to help.Hotel used as holiday destination by Spanish so it confirms the quality.Neighbouring towns a short walk along the beach so a car is not essential if you want a quiet break. Also if you play golf look no further beautiful courses on your doorstep.September -June four weeks 570 euros for the appartment now that is a bargain

Room Tip: We were on the third floor in the middle facing the beach great views sun all day

We stayed here 0ctober 2011. Could not believe how beautiful it was for the price. The balcony overlooked the sea and we sat and had our meals there. There was no problem with the kitchen very adequate. The apartment itself was very spacious. Lovely hotel could not fault it. Staff very pleasant. A car is a must. There are plenty of places to visit and the roads are not too busy.

Room Tip: All of the rooms looked lovely. For the seaviews probably best to have a poolview.
