“Awful!”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

By far the worst food we had in all over Fuerteventura and it was by the way the most expensive, too.
Steak was drenched in flavourless and lovelessly poured goat cheese. The prawns and the octopus didn't taste fresh at all.
An awful experience!

“The most disappointing meal of the holiday.”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

Mondays and Tuesdays are the days for restaurant closures in El Cotillo so we ended up here by default (a bit of a panic choice). It looked fairly busy and we had seen the tapas offer on the board outside. We were ushered upstairs and made to sit on the front line to make it look busier. The waiters were preoccupied with a football match on the TV (no customers appeared to be watching this).

We asked about the tapas but decided to go with the fresh fish and grilled prawns, the waiter gave a bit of a strange sigh but said OK. The prawns were the most difficult to peel I have ever come across and the fish did not taste very fresh, it was fried to within an inch of it's life and covered in garlic.

To top it all off just as we were about to ask for the bill a young cockroach ran across our table. This was one of 2 cockroaches we saw in El Cotillo the other was outside this restaurant we should have taken it as a sign!

“A bit rushed, but good food”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

We took up their offer of tapas and a bottle of wine for 25 Euros, the food was good, the view was good, the staff were attentive but all 8 plates came out within minutes of each other and we felt that it was very rushed and we did not get to sample the various platters at our leisure but had to eat them before they went cold.
Could not fault the value, nor the quality of food but the whole experience was over very quickly.

“To get any nearer the sunset would involve wet feet!”
Reviewed 26 April 2013

This is a double decker resyaurant on the old harbour, the groun floor features an outside terrace, with some tables inside, the first floor has a retractable roof, and roller blind side, the view at sunset cannot be beaten.
The menu features a fairly standard list, but the food is well prepared, and served by attentive waitors.

“Great views”
Reviewed 25 April 2013

We're regulars at El Mirador whenever we stay in El Cotillo (this was our third visit) and always enjoy the food, atmosphere and especially the stunning view of the sunset over the harbour. Admittedly it was a little chillier this time (April) than our previous visits in August but nothing a sweatshirt couldn't cure. Highly recommended.
