“Great pizza”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

This is a great option for a chilled out pizza in the evening in Cotillo, the food is good and very cheap, with decent house wines and beers and desserts. All perfect for a low-key evening after a day in the sun. It's not high-end, just a local, relaxed pizza joint that opens out onto the quiet street. We'll be back.

“It's even better if you eat there!”
Reviewed 14 March 2014

I am amazed that people can review restaurants, and rate them poorly (see GESL) without ever having eaten there! Can I leave a review on all the Michelin starred restaurants I have walked past? So, let's deal with facts. This is a small restaurant which also does take aways (useful if you are self catering and feel lazy one night!). There are 6 tables inside seating 16 and 3 tables of 2 seats on the pavement (not much traffic) for smokers or for hot evenings. This is a simple restaurant and certainly not fine dining silver service. It is however very clean and tidy, super-friendly staff and a vast choice of pizzas with a couple of pasta specials on the board. What made it worth eating at 3 times in a fortnight was the quality of the pizzas, but being italian owned and run you might expect that! Thanks guys, we will be back!

“Definitely worth a visit to try their pizzas!”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

Like several reviewers already mentioned before normally eating a pizza during your holidays (unless you are in Italy off course) is tricky. However, we found out that eating a pizza at Marameo is definitely worth it.

It is a small restaurant with around 5 tables inside and a few on the sidewalk. They have a very extensive pizza menu with a small list of salads & desserts well. They serve thin crusted pizzas and they are spot on with the ingredients. I ordered a pizza with gorgonzola & onions and the amount of gorgonzola & onions was exactly right (too much can ruin the pizza).

The service was great and despite having a large group in front of us there was a steady flow of food coming out of the kitchen so we did not have to wait too long.

Note: the restaurant is closed on Mondays and they do take away. And they also have a very quick Wi-Fi connection that you can use for free.

“Excellent pizza is not easy to find around the world!”
Reviewed 25 December 2013

The secret of pizza-making lies in the preparation of the dough and the time it is left to rise... At the Marameo they've got it just right! Tasty and digestible with a wide range of choice! Don't fancy a pizza? Try their homemade lasagne! And to finish, Chiara's chocolate salame is a special delight. Yes, the place is tiny but don't be put off. It's cosy, the staff make up for the small space with excellent service, a warm friendly welcome and lots of enthusiasm for their profession.
