Great apartment, equipped with everything you would need and a perfect sun trap on a windy El Cotillo day.
The apartment has 2 sun terraces which are very private. The location is ideal, 15 mins walk to the lagoon beaches and 10 mins to the restaurants in the village. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Casa Juana and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.
Travelled with family - two daughters 12 and 8.
The location was exactly as described and is in the perfect spot for everything you want to do in El Cotillo - twenty minute walk across to the fab surf beaches and twenty minutes to the first set of lagoon beaches. You're across the road from Hyper Dino (Supermarket) and fab home cooked food at the Pollo Loco. Get to Hyper D's quick to get the pastries though. If you're too late, then a 5 minute stroll into town gets you a coffee/smoothie and pastry at the café opposite the Surf Shop.
Once you walk up the stairs, enter your main door you walk into a large private terrace which hosts BBQ and large wooden table and chairs for 6. You then unlock the main patio doors into apartment. Front room area provides comfy seating for Satellite TV and dining area. Bedroom with two single beds and the downstairs WC and shower room.
Kitchen area really well equipped. Oven needs some TLC to get the fan working and does take time to heat up, induction hob very reactive, microwave great for popcorn that you'll need to keep you going as you try to get through all the movies that are in the CD cabinet. Washing machine allows you to travel with minimum clothes.
Upstairs to a mezzanine style bedroom leading out onto terrace two, where two sun loungers sit along with a coffee table for 4. Umbrella provides shade as you look out to the North East mountains and beaches. Another WC and shower room here - acting as an ensuite for the master double bedroom.
In terms of location - we had a hire car as we were in Fuerte for 3 weeks and were visiting a number of beaches on the island. However you can catch the local bus or get a cab from the air or sea port. Getting around El Cotillo is easy - you can walk to most beaches within 30 minutes. There's some fab restaurants in El Cotillo - El Toston for good pub grub, El Capitan/Mirador/Vaca Azul for posh nosh or others for drinks & tapas.
Really private apartment which made our first stay in El Cotillo as idyllic as I thought it would be. My regret? - moving over the to the South Side of the island for the last two weeks of our 3 week holiday - as we spent those other 2 weeks travelling back to El Cotillo as after 10 plus years of travelling to Fuerte these are out favourite beaches.
Steve is a really pleasant host - professional communications prior arrival, met on arrival, provided good local information and able to offer flexibility on checkout.
We'll hopefully be back!
