“Great experience and relaxing time. ”

Spent half a day (during the week) relaxing in hot thermal baths. Gradual temperature changes among the different pools. Spacious with lots of umbrellas and chaise lounge chairs (with visors) most on a wide expanse of lawns and under olive trees. The water does have, as volcanically heated water does, a slight sulfur odor. But it is high in minerals. However, there are lockers (€2 each) with showers to freshen up. A cafe to buy water, beer and paninis is available. (No outside food/drink allowed) Just a nice experience.

My wife and daughter scheduled spa treatments and I read by the hot springs pools. When they were done we all swam in the pools. It was a unique experience for us and it was a much needed down time day on our recent tour of Tuscany.

Very crowded inside and outside pools on the weekend, I am positive that it is much more pleasant on week days. Limited chaise long indoors during the cold seasons.
The face massage was great, body massage very light and superficial.

If you are looking for a 5 star SPA extravaganza, this is not the place for you. What you'll find here are old fashioned Italian "Stabilimento Termale" where you will be able to enjoy natural hot springs in a traditional Italian style. You pay very little for entry (16 euros for the day) and can enjoy unlimited access to the water, both indoors and outside. We went with unusually cold weather (minus 2) and at 11pm on a Saturday and it was magical. You can access the external baths through a water tunnel so that your head is the only part of the body not covered in gorgeous warm water. Steam rose all around us and the night was really dark. The pool lights were on and everyone was in awe of the moment. The changing rooms are basic, the structure is also very "institutional": no frills. You can also book some spa treatments online. I had a relaxing hour with full massage and facial, as well as body scrub. It was fantastic. All essential oils used are organic and from locally grown herbs and plants. I highly recommend this!

The waters are great and it's an interesting term to visit in contrast to others in the area. The august season was very busy with local Italians. I went daily by foot and felt that I was the only American there, which I actually enjoyed. Finding a chair was always a challenge, but the waters were most enjoyable and I got the best rest. A healthy experience.
