What an hotel - absolutely fantastic. Great location right on the beach, Must be the best hotel in Vietnam. Staff extremely attentive, food excellent, accommodation very private.

Had a pool suite which was really two properties - a lounge in a separate villa and a bedroom villa. Private swimming pool and a short walk to the beach. The sand was big so you need to wear sandels until you get to the sea.

The water in the pool was very warm, which I like - you don't need a jacuzzi here!!! Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Get a pool side villa. Private pool either a live in butler!!!

Well what can I say. The Nam Hai is pure perfection. Amazing rooms, beautiful pool and lounge areas and friendly staff to cater for your every whim. Yes, it is expensive, but this is one of the best resorts in the country and it’s worth every penny. The breakfast was just amazing and the dinner we ate at the Beach restaurant here was the best we had while in Vietnam. Hang the cost and just book it!

The Nam Hai is a beautiful, large resort on a stunning beach. The staff, the service, the pools, the restaurants, the facilities - all top notch. I was very surprised however, by the accommodation. I stayed in a One Bedroom Beachfront Villa right on the beach. Great spot. But the villa layout was the oddest I have come across. There is a "lounge/bath/bedroom" combo on a raised platform in the middle of the room, with a walkway all around it, with bathroom at one end and sofa and beach access at the other. Having to step up and down all the time, especially at night, was crazy. I really didn't like the layout at all. There was no flow to the space whatsoever. You almost didn't know where to go as it was so quirky. Not ideal at all. The room is also quite dated already. The old TV on a stand in front of the bed was ugly. What else I really did not like was the GHM Hotels paraphernalia all through the room - stacks of GHM magazines, Leading Hotels catalogues, every bathroom item in GHM packaging - there was so much clutter that there was nowhere to put anything of your own. The room looked messy all the time. I have to say the villas are very overpriced for this standard. The food in the restaurants was mostly good, but also very overpriced. Service was slow and staff uninterested in the main Restaurant. Much better in the more relaxed Beach Restaurant. But having said all that, I must reiterate again that the resort is extremely beautiful and the staff very friendly and always willing to please, it's just the villas themselves - too odd, awkward and uncomfortable for me. The spa is outstanding, I had one of the best massages of my life.

Thank you very much for choosing The Nam Hai as your address of choice and for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We were happy to learn that you had an enjoyable stay at The Nam Hai.

As for the interior design of the bedroom villas and in the living room, we concur with you that the layout is unique and may not appeal to everyone’s preferences in terms of ergonomics and comfort. We appreciate your observations and assess how to make suitable changes on occasion of a future refurbishment.

Once again, thank you for your visit and we are looking forward to welcoming you back either here at The Nam Hai or one of our sister properties elsewhere.

If you want a vacation experience that includes beautifully decorated, very large room accommodations, stay here. It only gets better when you eat at the restaurants which are exquisite, or the beach which has got to be in the top 5 in the World, or the swimming pools which (although much to hot in summer time) are fit for an olympic athlete. Ocean is super clean and safe to swim in; almost every villa/room has an ocean view. Staff is well trained and friendly. Definitely worth the price for the rooms. Photos on the internet do not do justice to how beautiful this resort is!

Town of Hoi An is 10 minute drive away; go at nighttime when it's cooler and the lanterns light the streets. Be prepared to be "commercialized-out" in Hoi An as they have over populated the "tailoring" business and it's touristy but the area itself is pretty to walk through.

Room Tip: Resort layout provides an ocean view for almost every villa/room. There is one sequence of Pool Villas (villas with own pool) which back up to the organic gardens...and those do not have an ocean view...all others do. Ask for villa with ocean view and you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I spent 9 glorious nights at the Nam Hai on our recent stay in Hoi An. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Our stay in a pool villa gave us our own Butler (Tri) who was wonderful and tended to our every needs and pre-empted our timings for afternoon tea and canapés. You will expect nothing but the best at this first class resort.
Don't skip the champagne cocktails at breakfast; what a way to start the day!
