The Kaimana Inn was very welcoming and quite comfy. It is a definitely bed and breakfast feel. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were fine. My only complaint about the room was the poor lighting. Marcelo and his lovely family were helpful and always asked about our day at breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was yummy, my son really like the jam/jelly! For the reasonable price and the homey atmosphere, I would recommend this inn. But don't go expecting a TV or anything like that in your room. There is a common area and the wi-fi is fair.

I was on Easter Island during Easter week and stayed here, based largely on Trip Advisor recommendations. This was no mistake. There are only about 7 rooms, papa ran the place, mama cleaned the rooms, and the mother in law did the cooking. You can't get more family than this, and they treat you more like family than a customer. Breakfast was included, and was great. In fact I ended up eating most of my meals here, as there is a restaurant attached. Marcello is papa, and he speaks excellent English. I cannot recommend them too much.

We ordered a dish of raw fish which was very good. The place is clean and you can have your meal facing the street (under a roof) or inside. The personnel was quite kind.

We weren't in town long -- and was walking by the information office which was closed. A person from next door came to "help" us and we said we were looking for Wifi. She said she runs the information booth but it closed at 7pm so "come next door, buy a beer and you could use the wifi". Sounded good. Now we know everything is expensive on Easter Island...and saw the cost of the beer was something like $6. OK....so we get the bill and it's $18! She says that the menu price is the draft price...and we got a bottle so it's $18. We explained how suprises like this are terrible for visitors...and $18 is absolutely insane in any case. Despite several minutes of explaining how this is really bad and how we'd share the experience, she didn't budge. I would avoid this place like the plague.
