My trip to RapaNui was made even more magical by my choice of lodging. Everything about the Victoria was wonderful. If you want a stuffy upscale hotel, this place is not for you. But if you want personalized local history, excellent restaurant and tour tips, warm welcomes, comfortable accommodations, scrumptious breakfasts, incredible views and a host who invites you into his heart and his home - then this is where you should stay while you are in HangaRoa. Hugo is one of the kindest and most gregarious people I met while in Chile and I hope to make it back to magical RapaNui again one day to stay in his hotel.

I traveled to Easter Island for 5 nights during summer season, unfortunately I missed Tapati festival for a couple of days, but anyway I had quite pleasant vacations. The Island is quite small just in the middle of nowhere, absolutely relaxing and magical. I fell in love...
The Hotel is very well located, close to airport and main street. My room was very spacious and luminous with a nice view of the garden and the sea. The hotel share the magical atmosphere of the island.
The staff is ver friendly and helpful, Hugo and his family are terrific persons. I really sharing some time with them.

We stayed at the Hotel Victoria on Easter Island for 3 nights in January of 2013. Would I stay at this hotel again? Yes. Would I recommend this hotel to friends? Yes. This is a quaint 2 star hotel/hostel.

Our room was nothing fancy. It had one queen bed and two single beds. All rooms in the hotel are slightly different. Depending on what room you get, your room might or might not have a safe or a small fridge. If you are looking for a basic and inexpensive place to stay this might be the place for you.

The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. He will pick you up and the airport and drive you back for you outward bound flight.

Breakfast was included with our stay. Breakfast consisted of assorted breads, cheese, meats, and fruit.

The hotel is located approximately a 10 minute walk away from most restaurants and a 20 minute way from the main part of town. There are stores where one can buy water and other supplies within a 5 minute walk.

I have uploaded some photos of this hotel to help you.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room that has both a safe and a mini-fridge

I traveled with some friends to Easter Island for NYE. As soon as we arrived in town we felt welcomed by the people. Everyone is really nice and helpful. The stay was very pleasant. The hotel was really nice and always clean and the people working there made it feel like home. We got a lot of tips of what to do in the island from Hugo, the owner of the hotel. He is a walking lonely planet book (something I always take with me to the city I go to and fail to buy one for this trip) and he will give you some maps and give you tips on where to go. We rented a jeep from him and we were able to drive around the island, see the Moais and go to the beach. For the countdown on NYE we went to "la cancha" where all the town gets together and they have live music. It started raining 1 second past midnight but it was absolutely a great way to start a new year.
Overall love the people, loved the hotel and loved the trip.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms facing the sea.

Owner Hugo made me feel at home, told me history of his family and of the island. You can look at over the ocean from front yard. Short walk to ocean where the sunset is unbelievable. Couple of blocks to town and near airport. Take earplugs roosters run free on island.
