We have just returned from a fabulous holiday. It is a family run business and we would highly recommend this hotel. The family are very friendly and welcoming . As with Greece you always expect the basic accommodation, this was better than most. The service was to a high standard and we have no complaints. It was nice not to have a pool bar as we like to do our own thing and you could take your own drinks ( Tea, Coffee ) etc. to the pool area , no one bothered you. The family ( Nico, Olga & Stacy) were really friendly and helpful. We used to like to chat to them every day and although they were busy, they always made time for you. Would go again. Great place to stay in the heart of Agia Marina! Its minutes from the beach and the bus stop to Xania is only 50 metres away! The room we had was huge! I travelled through europe and this apartment beat all of the places we stayed. A home away from home! It was clean and had all the basic necessities. We had a balcony overlooking the street, and I loved sitting out there people watching when eating breakfast or in the afternoon when people were coming home. It is off the main strip and not noisy at night! Stacie, Olga and Nick were the perfect host! Anything we asked was never too difficult for them to help us with! They made our two weeks there special! I would highly recommend the apartments and definitely use them again!! Thanks for a great memorable trip!

We went on 17 September with Olympic Holidays. We have been to Greece numerous times and expect very basic accommodation but this was far better than most. It looked as though it had been refurbished and was clean and bright. The small pool area was always well kept. We had a side apartment with 2 balconies - no view but always quiet as was the apartment.

The pool did not have a bar which meant you could take your own drinks down from your room, but we used the pool bar straight across the road which had a big grassy area with lots of beds.

The beach was a few minutes walk away but during our stay it was constantly windy with big waves. We also thought it was a bit scruffy.

The "town" itself is just along the main coast road with the usual shops and restaurants. The 2 restaurants down from Angelica were very good.

Overall we were very happy with Villa Angelica.

We have just returned from our second stay at the Angelica. Since we stayed last year the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard, we had the same apartment as last year with a double balcony overlooking the road. This isn't a problem though as the property is located in a quiet side road of the main road. There is a large selection of tavernas and supermarkets and all are close by as is the beach. The bus stop into Chania is only about 200 metres away. The apartments are cleaned daily and nothing is to much trouble for Olga and Nik, you are assured of a warm welcome with great hospitality. Look forward to staying here again as wouldn't choose anywhere else if staying in Aghia Marina.

We have been living here for the second time, and the service and athmosphere is wonderful. Looking forward to the next time. The beach and the tavernas is nearby so the place is perfect. If you come by car, they also have free parking.

Small but perfectly formed
We loved our stay at the Villa Angelica. We stayed in Room 1 which was a large, spotlessly clean, well decorated and furnished apartment for 4 with a lovely big balcony that overlooked the pool.
The pool is small and shaded for much of the day but is lovely for cooling off and is often very quiet. You can use the pool in the hotel opposite which has a grassed area and usually plenty of sun beds.
The location is excellent; it is barely 100m to the beach and less to the main road with a bus stop located close by.
We used the small shop near to the accommodation which was really convenient, well stocked and compared well cost wise with the larger supermarkets.
The owners are a lovely family who are very friendly, without being intrusive, and do everything they can to make your stay perfect. They arranged for a taxi to be waiting at the airport and for our return. This worked well as they then knew our exact time of arrival.
We wish we could pick this accommodation up and take it with us when we visit other destinations.
