Description: The Bath Arms at Crockerton on the Longleat Estate in Wiltshire is under the care of chef Dean Carr, formerly of The Ivy and Bishopstrowe House. Although The Bath Arms is a truly excellent gastropub, it’s clear that Carr respects country pub traditions. You can expect a warm welcome, open fires, relaxed atmosphere, beer garden, and familiar dishes. But you can also enjoy modern comforts, professional service, fine beers and innovative meals, too. Signatures include starter of fishcake with Cornish crab and broad bean and main course of sticky beef with braised red cabbage. Beer festivals, Caribbean BBQs and other events liven this picturesque corner.

We took advantage of a 'Travel Zoo' deal for lunch as a half way meeting point with two good friends of ours.

The choice was from their a la Carte menu which gave us a number of options to choose from and we were all extremely pleased with the quality and quantity. My steak was cooked superbly (always the sign of a good kitchen) and the vegetables served separately were very tasty and hot.

The deal came with a glass of wine each but they happily allowed us to convert to coffees / capuccinos. All in all the service was exceptional, bringing a jug of iced water and topping up when they saw it was needed and not disturbing the flow of our conversation as they attended to our needs.

The log burner provides a good focal point and was a most welcome relief to the rain outside, such that we stayed longer than anticipated and abandoned our plans for a soggy walk. We'll be back to take advantage of the local walking when the weather improves plus another visit to the Bath Arms! Thank you

Came here with the family for my Mother's birthday lunch and we couldn't have picked a better place. The food was gorgeous and the portions were generous, the whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were very attentive. Get in early on weekends as it will get very busy! Will definitely come here again.

Excellent meal - sticky beef with red cabbage served with fresh vegetables and champ, absolutely amazing. I followed this with Eton mess - lovely tangy berries, a great twist on the usual strawberries. My husband had gammon with poached (again a nice change from fried) eggs with chips followed by chocolate brownie. The bread served with the meal was beautifully fresh.
The staff were very friendly and the surroundings very comfortable and welcoming. We will definitely be visiting again!

Went here with my husband and two friends last Thursday. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, and decided to have a drink in the lounge before going into the restaurant. The waitress was very helpful and friendly when we ordered our meal. We were greeted at our table by a basket of lovely homemade bread, while we waited our starters. I chose the salmon, topped with crab and broad beans it was absolutely delicious as was the much renowned sticky beef that I had for mains... My friends had the mixed grill which was huge and equally nice.
It takes us about 30mins to get to the Bath Arms but would gladly go back and would recommend it to friends

We celebrated my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary on the 19th December in the private room at the Bath Arms and couldn't have picked a more friendly and welcoming venue. Nothing was too much trouble and all the little extras I asked for were carried out with a smile. The food was served on time and piping hot - the sticky beef was very popular as was the massive mixed grill. We were not hurried and the whole experience made for a really special lunch time occasion. Many thanks to all the staff and I wish you a prosperous New Year.

Thank Sue H
