Description: The Bath Arms at Crockerton on the Longleat Estate in Wiltshire is under the care of chef Dean Carr, formerly of The Ivy and Bishopstrowe House. Although The Bath Arms is a truly excellent gastropub, it’s clear that Carr respects country pub traditions. You can expect a warm welcome, open fires, relaxed atmosphere, beer garden, and familiar dishes. But you can also enjoy modern comforts, professional service, fine beers and innovative meals, too. Signatures include starter of fishcake with Cornish crab and broad bean and main course of sticky beef with braised red cabbage. Beer festivals, Caribbean BBQs and other events liven this picturesque corner.

We went here whilst staying in Crockerton after being recommended. The pub exterior needs a lick of paint but inside its very clean and well furnished. The food we had was very nice and good value for money

We visited this pub during our stay at Center Parcs in Longleat and we mainly sat in their garden which has at least 7 tables and benches, which are well weathered.

This pub is very dog friendly (loved the jar of dog biscuits on the bar).

Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Beside some mainstream drinks such as Guinness and San Miguel, they also had three local ales and one cider. All local drinks cost between £3.20 and £3.80 per pint.

Food was clearly very popular; prices are in line with high end gastro pubs.
We only tried the bucket of chips, which was excellent.

We will certainly be returning when around Shearwater, for a relaxing drink in their garden.

We ate there 4 times and each time it was fantastic. Sticky beef was to die for and they modified dishes to accommodate my gluten and diary free diet and couldn't have been more accommodating. The restaurant was lovely and comfy but the actual bar area benches were saggy and really could have done with being renewed, but this was a little niggle and didn't retract from the food and atmosphere and they gave us cushions to make us more comfortable. Service was friendly and quick even on busy nights. Really liked this place.

We were travelling on a rainy day and stopped on the off chance for a quick lunch - we were really glad we had.

The welcome was warm, although the pub was a bit chilly itself as we were wet just coming in from the car. But the food we had were baguettes and their home made fish finger sandwich - all were very good.

We wished we were staying near-by to enjoy a full meal there, but unfortunately weren't. We'll be back if we are ever in the area.
