Description: The Bath Arms at Crockerton on the Longleat Estate in Wiltshire is under the care of chef Dean Carr, formerly of The Ivy and Bishopstrowe House. Although The Bath Arms is a truly excellent gastropub, it’s clear that Carr respects country pub traditions. You can expect a warm welcome, open fires, relaxed atmosphere, beer garden, and familiar dishes. But you can also enjoy modern comforts, professional service, fine beers and innovative meals, too. Signatures include starter of fishcake with Cornish crab and broad bean and main course of sticky beef with braised red cabbage. Beer festivals, Caribbean BBQs and other events liven this picturesque corner.

We booked our table 10 minutes before arriving, although it was a Sunday night. We were really pleased as it was only by chance we went there as we don't live in the area. The food was very tasty, interesting veg, homemade chicken nuggets for the children, sticky beef was gorgeous! The food was presented nicely. The children were occupied with a colouring activity for a dip in the sweet jar. Hubby enjoyed the local beer. Prices were above average but reasonable for what you got. A smile as we walked in would have been nice. Will return if ever in the area.

“3 Different meals, everyone excellent.”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

We ended up at the Bath Arms because our plans went a bit wrong but we were very glad to discover this pub. Really friendly staff, the food was excellent and the bill was modest for fare of such quality and diversity. Some may find the slightly, and only slightly, variation of standard dishes, not to their liking. Personally, my partner, her mum and I thought it was great and considering we hadva fish, meat and veggie dishes between us, it was amazing that we all thought our meals were well into the 4/5 stars bracket. Will definately visit again.

“Very good food”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

We went here whilst staying in Crockerton after being recommended. The pub exterior needs a lick of paint but inside its very clean and well furnished. The food we had was very nice and good value for money

“Lovely country pub, good local drinks, but quite pricey”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

We visited this pub during our stay at Center Parcs in Longleat and we mainly sat in their garden which has at least 7 tables and benches, which are well weathered.

This pub is very dog friendly (loved the jar of dog biscuits on the bar).

Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Beside some mainstream drinks such as Guinness and San Miguel, they also had three local ales and one cider. All local drinks cost between £3.20 and £3.80 per pint.

Food was clearly very popular; prices are in line with high end gastro pubs.
We only tried the bucket of chips, which was excellent.

We will certainly be returning when around Shearwater, for a relaxing drink in their garden.
