“A Hotel That Does Not Do A Twin Room.”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

We stayed here to be able to catch a fairly early ferry to the Isle of Wight the next morning.

We checked in a went to our room and found a large double bed and a small single bed beside it which appeared to be a small settee put you up. This bed was child size and very low to the floor far below the double bed's height. This small bed also creaked and groaned and I decided that this was not a twin bed room in any sense that I had experienced any where in the world. I went to reception and was told that this was how the twin rooms were set up in the hotel.
They were unable to move us as the small hotel was full. I could not make use of the small put you up.

Later that evening we went to the public house, The Three Bells, Brewers Fayre attached to the hotel. We ordered a meal which was well served and presented but after the main meal we waited 38 mins.for the sweet to arrive even though we asked twice what was happening to our sweets.
We had breakfast in the morning at this location which was very good.

The hotel is only 5 miles from Lymington port.

Room Tip: Do not ask for a twin room.

With a Premier Inn you know exactly what you are going to get and this venue is no different. Comfortable bed, great shower and a clean room. A good base to explore from with Lymington and Christchurch nearby. Plenty of parking is a bonus. At nearly £100 per night however I would be tempted to look at other non chain B&Bs next time I visit the area. ( Avoid room 8 as the landing door next to it bangs as it closes!!)

A lovely smallish modern Premier Inn with lovely helpful staff and a nice quiet location. The adjacent Brewer's Fayre pub was excellent. The food was very good, tasty, served nice & hot and the waiters were very pleasant & helpful. We were visiting the area for a dancing weekend in nearby Sway & we took a group of friends back for lunch on the Sunday & they were most impressed.

Room Tip: The location is so quiet I think any rooms would be fine.

Small Premier Inn in the New Forest provides exactly what you expect, friendly and helpful staff, good rooms with great bed, good shower. There is plenty of parking around the hotel so its a park and sleep then go. Perfect. Meals are taken in the adjacent pub (separate report) accessed from Reception. Thanks guys and girls.

We have just returned from a four night stay at Lymington. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and modern. The pub attached to the hotel was really nice. Can't fault it.

We stayed here for a short break with our young family and grandparents. As I've come to expect from Premier Inn, the rooms were comfortable, modern and clean and with plenty of room for our 5 year old in a separate bed, and our 19 month old in a cotbed. This is a great base for exploring the New Forest. My greatest thanks and praise have to go to the staff though who were friendly and professional, and given that it was very busy at times in the restaurant ( bank holiday ) I really felt they went the extra mile.

We often stay at Premier Inns whilst on family long weekend breaks and always find them good quality, good value, good food and good service. The staff are always very polite, friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, bright and well equipped and the (usually attached) restaurants serve great food at reasonable prices.
This branch (which is not actually in Lymington) is no exception to those qualities except for one big difference, the kitchen in the attached pub/restaurant is so small that food takes ages to be served.
We always go for the Full English breakfast and this is normally buffet style so you can help yourself to whatever and whenever you like and we all eat at our own pace. However, at this branch the food is cooked to order so you have a wait for the order to be taken then a longer wait (45 mins on our first morning) for the food to be cooked and served plus it's a patient person who ventures the wait for any additional helpings.
The next morning we had to be out early so we cancelled our Full English and just went Continental which is still self served buffet.
We tried one evening meal here and were warned of a 20 min delay. After 40 mins I complained at the bar to be told (with a gracious apology but nothing else) it was just being plated up and would be served in 5 mins. Another 15 mins later it was finally served after a full hours wait.
The food was delicious and the staff very polite but the kitchens are clearly not up to the demand and I would advise eating out at this particular branch.
For this reason only I have marked down the service grade.
