My partner and I stayed at this beautiful b&B for three wonderful nights. Our room was clean and spacious with lovely views over looking their garden.
Breakfast was delicious, and Gilly's scrammbled eggs are worth returning for alone!
This was our second trip to Bath and we thought that the first could not have been any better, yet the cedars have proved us wrong.
The Crown pub next door is welcoming and great for a relaxing evening.
Overall an excellent trip and we cannot big it up enough! x

We stayed at the Cedars in September 2011. And this review is way overdue. I quickly went through the reviews since and it appears that Damien and Jilly continue to excel.

We arrived late in the afternoon of a dismal September day. It was a bit of a drive out from the train station and construction work on several additional rooms was still evidently underway. So the initial impressions were not great. But then we were greeted by Damien, shown to our room on the first floor, and given the run of the expansive kitchen and living room area. Though the weather didn't brighten, our mood did.

The next few days started out with amazing breakfasts that Damien and Jilly cooked to order, followed by pretty convenient and inexpensive bus rides with my wife and toddler son into Bath proper. In the evenings, we would come back and relax in the Cedar's loverly common area, which we felt was almost our own, given our bedroom location on the first floor.

I give the Cedars high marks for its owners, common area and breakfasts. I do wonder though if we and our toddler scared off the upstairs guests from using the common area.

For an Indonesian woman's perspective on the place, go to my wife's blog:
www.houseofpi.blogspot.com and search for Bath.

Room Tip: The downstairs bedroom in the main house is great for access to the common area.

We stayed for one night in a family room, with our two young children at the weekend. The room was a great size, and they had set up a roll away bed and a crib which was very helpful. The room was lovely and modern but had a homely, inviting feel too. The only thing I could think that might have been a negative for some people is that there was no bath. Having said this, the shower WAS amazing and the bathroom was fantastic - so the lack of bath did not impede our stay one bit. In fact our kids (aged 2 & 3) loved the shower so much we had to fight to get them out of there!

The hosts Damian & Gilly were very lovely, and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, and plenty of choice. It is a couple of miles outside of Bath centre, but within easy reach. Though we didn't try it, there is a nice looking pub right next door. We were very happy with our stay, and would definitely stay again if we were back in the area.

A group of 6 of us stayed in the 3 rooms on the first floor at the Cedars. The rooms were modern and large, with wonderful showers. The large open plan kitchen and lounge was very light and relaxing. The breakfasts were the best we have had at a B&B- fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, juice and a variety of options for the cooked breakfasts. The wonderful weather made it easy to make use of the patio/hammock and picnic bench in the garden. After experiencing horrendous traffic in Bath on our first day, the following day we picked the bus up from near the end of the drive and it made for a much easier journey into Bath. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal we had at the Crown next door (there was no noise whatsoever from the pub and we were there for Friday and Saturday night). Damien and Jilly were very welcoming and it felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to return

This B&B has been built in the garden of the owners home so you are not actually in their home which I prefer. The rooms are modern, light and clean. Two more seem to being built at the moment. Hosts Damien and Jilly are lovely and make you feel very welcome. It is a few miles outside Bath but there is a pub right next door and a community shop up the hill. Bus stop right infront which might be a good idea next time having experienced Baths parking/traffic problems. Well done!
