We were staying in Brackley and decided to visit The Bell Inn at the top of the high street. Upon entering the premises, the landlady was so rude to us that we were stunned. We are very polite people and are from Peru. Unfortunately the landlady there is so racist, rude and unhelpful that we will never return. The other staff member there referred to her as "Julie". This woman looked at us as if we made her feel sick, didn't make eye contact neither smile at any point.
When the food was brought to us she nearly threw it on the table and stormed off. She was so rude and aggressive that we felt we shouldn't be there. She was also laughing with another customer in the pub and looking at us, which made us feel that she was mocking us. We would like to say that we are normal looking people (other than being slightly darker colour skin) and we do not look like monsters!
We wish to say that everyone else we met in Brackley was very nice and we had no other problems at all.
Ate here with a number of friends and were provided with a huge variety of food for a set price that we were able to share between the 10 of us. We had steak, sausages, chicken, king prawns and it came with chips, onion rings and a huge side salad with blue cheese crumbled in, lush!
A great night out with friends around a table with the usual selection of good beers etc.
Ideal for a social meet up.
called in the bell, had a meal at lunch time,i had a full rack of baby back ribs in sweet chilli sauce hubby had pork fillet in piri piri sauce, lovely day so sat in the garden to eat, bowl of water with ice was immediately fetched out for the dog, lovely couple who run it, will be calling again,
went to the bells curry night, I had a lamb madras and the wife had a chicken korma, both were served with rice and a naan, all for £4.95 each, has a curry night every 1st Wednesday of the month, very popular, was told that a tapas night would be starting soon, if its like the paella that is served then I cant wait, also the real ales are are always spot on,
