We spent our wedding minimoon here, and it was lovely. The owners were really welcoming and treated us very well indeed. The food was good and the room was great. We received a bottle of bubbly when we got there as it was our minimoon and the welcome was very warm. Other reviewers have commented about the unfriendliness of the bar - I certainly think that at times it can be busy, but this is a reflection of how good it is as a bar; we certainly didn't think it was unfriendly. We'll definitely be back.

never stayed here , had a meal a few drinks on various evenings and went to new year party night, pub is definitely geared towards locals though on the whole friendly enough , meals were good pub food at reasonable prices never heard any complaints, owner danny was always helpful and cheerful his wife really needs to chill out a bit though overly fussy about nothing and sort of spoiled new year party night , the band on said night were excellent young folk group enjoyed night thanks to them,,

Ate here with friends the place was quiet for food dining but that did not put us off as the food was really tasty and value for money, I had the steak which melted in your mouth like butter, wasn't keen on the chips though as they looked and tasted like frozen chunky chips which I am not a fan of my partner ate my share, once we had our meal we sat in the bar and played darts and had a few drinks, nice place to eat and have a few before bed, although we didn't stay at this hotel I did ask to see the rooms, they where beautiful in style and comfort also spotless clean, wish we had stayed at this hotel during out stay

We found the bar and staff to be welcoming and attentive. The meal was well cooked and good value for money. The one gripe (and it's not untypical of pub fare)....frozen chips! It can't be too difficult to peel a spud and fry it, why go for these bland alternatives.

However, overall it was OK.
