Me and my family had one of the best weekend's here. The hotel was clean, tidy and quite. The full English breakfast was great and the evening meals were excellent. Danny and Chris were very friendly and helpful. Would go back to stay in a minute

Wasn't sure we would be fed as notice outside said food available but one near entrance door said no food! Very typical pub menu but surprisingly good food. Soups were superb - different one on each of our three evening visits. Choice of organic or not for salads. Portions very generous and service interesting mainly by a jocular manager/owner who is a real comedian! Bar area or small dining room available but chose bar as it has more atmosphere.

My wife & I and 2 daughters all stayed here in the family room for 4 nights in June 2013. The room was a generous size and very clean, with a really good powerful shower. It had a super-king bed and two singles and there was still plenty of room for all of us. On arrival Danny & Christina were really welcoming and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. It was my daughters birthday while we were there and Christina went on the internet to find us a Chinese restaurant to go out and celebrate and Danny even sang happy birthday to her at breakfast, which was a really nice touch. The breakfast each morning was delicious, one of the best we've had in a B&B. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be back in the near future.

While traveling along the backroads outside of Maybole, looking for ancestral sights we stumbled upon the Kirkmichael Hotel & Pub, and what a great treat it turned out to be! We ordered the Fish and Chips, and both of our meals was delicious. Seriously, I think the best I'd had in the UK! Light and flakey batter, with a solid and meaty piece of fish, served with vinegar and homemade tarter sauce. The chips were crunchy outside and soft, starchy inside, and they even served ketchup with them! Of course, we couldn't have a meal without the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream, and the Kirkmichael Hotel and Pub provided a great ending! Delicious local fare, reasonably priced, and a very hospitable staff all combined to make our surprise lunch stop a very enjoyable one indeed!
