Whilst staying in the nearby village we visited the Inn for a meal and a drink, we were not disappointed, good choice of menu and specials, food was excellent and well presented so good we went back two nights later.

Stayed here for two nights with our three year old recently, when we were looking to avoid the tourism of nearby Pitlochry. The place has new owners who we found to be warm and welcoming. The food is very good indeed - my only complaint is the portions are a bit too big! Our room was large and comfortable and everything we needed was accommodated. This place is very good value and a great spot.

We are here for three nights as part of a tour of Scotland, it is a quiet hotel located 20 km from Pitlochery.
the road to The Strathardle Inn from Pitlochery is already worth with beautiful vistas and on your way to The Strathardle Inn you will a Hotel brewery Moulin and a Whisky distillery Edradour.

Various possibilities of continental, cooked or smoked salmon for breakfast.

The pub food is good and is supplemented with daily specialties.

Rooms are spacious and for the ones who hunt, the rooms have a gun safe.

Dined this week with local friends, and hoping for great things with hotel under new management, but slow slow service, which is duck when there are kids, flagging by 10.30 and also, vital to have non fishy oil when cooking Chips. Don't expect t have my winderful steak with peppercorn sauce ruined by fishy chips.

As a local I want to come back soon, so these two glitches must be sorted!

stopping in for just the one night, between work before heading to Edinburgh, the Strathardle is a small familly run hotel, with good food and rooms, i had one of the courtyard rooms, which was massive, with a comfy double, great bedlinen and a fantastic shower. I ate in the bar and enjoyed my food very much, Colin and Abi are great hosts, taking time with every customer to explain the menu, the beer and the wifi. With a river across a very very quiet road, this hotel is in a great location close to pitlochry and a short drive from the mountains of Glen Shee and the valley of Royal Deeside. I cant wait to go back...

The Strathardle Inn is a lovely family hotel ten miles south of Pitlochry. My wife and I like to call in for lunch on our way north to the Highland Wildlife Park at Kingussie. On Sunday 21 July 2013 we had such a trip and discovered that Strathardle was under new management. An immediate improvement is that the Inn is open everyday. I had a huge disappointment last year, when I promised a niece a fantastic lunch, and arrived to find the Inn was closed on Mondays. Moreover, food is now available all afternoon through to 9.00pm. We were welcomed by Maureen, who was on duty in the bar. She asked if we would like to meet the mew proprietor. Abi came through from the kitchen and we had a very pleasant conversation. The bar is very well stocked. I sampled two of their real ales. We took our drinks to the garden and enjoyed a seat in the shade of a tree (it was gloriously warm and sunny!) while our roast beef and Yorkshire puddings were being prepared. We elected to dine in the restaurant, which is beautifully arranged with linen table-covers. The food was good while the service was attentive without being obtrusive. It wasn't at all rushed but we were on the road again within an hour. We shall return when we have more time to linger longer.

i came here for the very first time for a quiz night not having been in here before. i am a local person in the village who does not go often but i was welcomed with open arms. Colin and Abi do a great job of running the place having just taken over from previous owners a few weeks ago
