I have never been more relaxed on a vacation, and I am certain my wife agrees! This beautifully located hotel is a gem. Upon arrival we were greeted by the always happy and helpful Fabio at the front desk, and to us it felt like we were welcomed into his and his family's home. Our room was breathtaking, with a panorama view over the Maronti bay from our balcony. With silhouettes of Sorrento and Capri on one side and the cute village of Sant Angelo on the other, set apart by a wonderful, glistening Mediterranean sea this is one of the most scenic locations one can find.

We opted for the half pension, with breakfast and lunch or dinner included. The food and service were of very high quality and it felt like the waitors always were seeing to that you had everything you needed.

The beach is somewhere in between a pebble beach and a sandy beach, reminiscent of other beaches in the area, like Positano. The water is clear and fresh and there are "lettini", Italian style beach chairs also by the pools and the "terme", mineral water baths. If you want massages or other spa treatments, there are plenty of choices.

The area can be a bit hard to get to. We recommend taking a taxi from the ferry and using the porter service available both at the Ischia harbor and at the hotel. You can also take the bus nr 5 from the port to arrive at Maronti, but the bus is quite small and the trip can be a bit cumbersome if you are travelling with big suitcases. Taxi and a porter service makes it so much more enjoyable!

There is a taxi boat service to Sant Angelo, you simply go to one of the designated stops and wave your hand at a passing boat and they will pick you up and bring you to Sant Angelo for 3 euros. This little village offers scenic views, excellent ice cream (we had ours at Dolce e' la vita), small shops and good restaurants for dinner or aperitivo.

We warmly recommend this hotel to all travelers! We can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Top floor! All rooms overlook the ocean!

This is one of the best hotels I've ever been to and we had the most relaxing and charming holiday there. The location of the hotel right at the beach, the huge terraces overlooking the beautiful Maronti beach, the great food at the restaurant (try the fish "soup"- amazing and feeds 2 easily), the mini-spa with hot thermal pool and natural steam bath, the nearby beautiful village of St Angelo where you go by boat...Should I say more? Just make your booking and go, Fabio and his family will make sure you taste the real Italian dolce vitta!

We were a party of 6 (our family + a couple of friends) and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at the Hotel Vittorio. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and accommodating. The food was excellent and very good value. We had just booked B&B but took advantage of the dinner option on the first night at 20 Euros per head. With 4 courses including a salad/antipasti buffet and dessert selection, this was amazing value so we ate there every night for the duration of our stay.
We didn't find the lack of aircon a problem - the fans worked very well (and it was around 34 degrees when we were there early August). Nice, clean rooms, great shower. The fact that each room has a sea view really makes it. Lovely clean beach, warm sea. Fantastic location. If you like saunas, there's a great one here. We particularly liked the hot pool (natural thermal pool) and the regular pool too.
We would definitely come back here.

Room Tip: Triple rooms are nice and roomy.

To be honest, we were a bit disappointed when we got to our hotel.
The buses are really crowded and the beach was gravelly although the sea was very nice, calm and clear. The free use of the sunbeds was good too and the views from the balcony were great.
We couldn't eat at our hotel as we hadn't prebooked and a lot of the restaurants down the sea front seem to close 5pm-8pmish but if you carry on there are a couple that will be open.
The man who checked us in was nice but unfortunately a few of the other staff didn't seem so friendly.

We’ve found the best hotel in the world. Five stars aren’t enough.

Hotel Vittorio sits on the most private part of Ischia’s best beach, Maroni, like a white cruise ship, growing from the volcanic rock it nestles in. Every room has a view of the sea. The pool is heaven: natural mineral rich thermal water. As our new friends from Vienna, who’ve been coming here for 20 years, said, your skin feels ‘like a baby’s.’

Enjoy massages on the beach. My husband had ‘fango’, a natural mud treatment. The luxury of waking to sauna, swim in the sea, soak in the hot pool, all before breakfast, is pure bliss.

The food is excellent: buffet, fresh fruit, fish, vegetables. My husband wanted wild rabbit, they made it especially for us. His pasta was ‘the best thing I have ever eaten.’

The staff are charming. New arrivals great them like old friends.

Can’t say enough about this magic place. The rooms are clean, simple, white. No bling: it's all about the sea. It was difficult to leave: this is Heaven on Earth.

Room Tip: The brilliance of Hotel Vittorio is - there is no bad room! Each room is simply decorated, every room has a deck, but crucially: every room has the most wonderful panoramic view of the sea.
