We stayed nearby in Barano d'Ischia for three days and Ristorante Ida became our principal "dining room." We were six and at the first lunch we gave full rein to Giovanni to present us with an excellent seafood meal. It was wonderful. We also reserved (day's notice required) a dinner two days later for coniglio d'Ischia. Rabbit is famous on the island and the preparation was excellent. Giovanni kindly sent us the recipe to try at home. In two weeks in Italy, this was one of two of the very best restaurants we encountered. Not only was the food excellent, we were always warmly welcomed as if we had been regular guests for years.
