The climb up to this charming b&b is worth it for the views alone. Our private balcony had a panoramic view over Maronti bay and towards St'Angelo, great to sit and watch the yachts with a glass of wine. Breakfasts are great, home-made cake, great coffee, bread and salami, beautiful jams. A great place to spend ten days; look forward to returning soon.

Five years ago we discovered and fell in love with this unique place on this enchanting island. Ever since our summer is not complete without a stay with Erika, Enrico, and Francesca. Grazie di esistere!

This is one of those elusive places one dreams of: beautiful, original, and far from the madding crowd! In its total authenticity and with its two corridors of white, airy rooms it is almost like a 'holiday-monastery', you can shed ballast and open wide to those immense views of sea and sky, listen to surf and birdsong and find yourself. The five minutes up steep, cobbled track keep all consumer-tourists well away, and the like-mindedness of guests makes for great mutual consideration and happy conversations. Francesca and Enrico have wonderful empathy and kindness for their guests, they see the needs of the individual, each of their guests getting exactly the right mix of interest, practical help, good cheer, and sometimes very resourceful problem solving. I really enjoyed being able to buy fruit, tomatoes, wonderful cheese and so on in the surrounding villages and dine like a prince on the terraces or my balcony, plates and cutlery kindly supplied by the house! And - what a great idea, those anti-mosquito jalousies - to be able to sleep with the windows wide open, and not a single buzz!!! Will come back!

Room Tip: All six upstairs rooms have the same fantastic, very open views, the three downstairs rooms have lit...

This is close to the best Italian food in Chiang Mai. Not everything on the menu is great, the Caesar salad for example, but once you know your way around it there are some fabulous dishes. The Crab Linguini is a good example with Thai Horse crab(similar to Blue Swimmer. Good wine list. Evan the house wines are drinkable at good prices. Great ambience and good service.

I love this place since i found it in 2011. I wrote my first Novel on the two terraces and really enjoyed the stunning view, the molto tranquilla life and the daily swimming on the beautiful Spiagga die Maronti.

I stayed four weeks last year and just returned from one week this July. The lovely Pollatos have renovated the rooms and made them even more comfortable.

Mille grazie for such a nice time.

Clara

We stayed here for a week in July. Each room has a balcony with the most beautiful view of the bay in the quietest part of the island of Ischia. It's also a 5 minute walk away from the best beach by far on the island. Family owned, the staff were very friendly, allowed us to use internet free of charge and were helpful with buses and navigation around island. Lovely shaded areas as well to hang out and have your lunch, read a book or just stare out to sea and contemplate the loveliness of it all. It's up a very steep hill but Enrico has a little motorised vehicle so you don't have to worry about lugging your bags up it. Breakfast was nice and straightforward. A little away from the main action on the island but then, of course, that might be exactly what you're looking for.

There's a panoramic view of Sant'Angelo and Maronti from three plant and flower-filled terraces. Casa Antonio is clean and simple, for people who appreciate no-frills and old fashioned hospitality. Abundant choices for breakfast including fresh-baked bread, homemade yogurt and jams, and lots of other good food. There's a homey invironment and the owners are courteous, accommadating, friendly, and helpful. There's a five minute walk to the beach, ten minutes for slow walkers, which adds to the tucked-away charm of this b&b, making it off the beaten path. There's wifi connection on the top terrace for those of you who, like me, can't go without internet. We will definitely return!
