An absolutely wonderful stay in an absolutely wonderful hotel. Can't recommend it highly enough. The room was clean, spacious and had a jaccuzzi bath (which we hadn't booked or paid for), the staff were friendly and ultra-helpful - they even kept the restaurant open for us when we arrived very late and very, very hungry.

The hotel is close to main roads and so is easy to access from Treviso airport, but it is so quiet you would never know. It's in a lovely setting, and the hotel itself and its restaurant (next door) are the most beautiful old Italian villas.

The food in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic - the freshest fish either of us has ever tasted. The waitress recommended my tuna and it was so far from any other tuna I have ever tasted - literally melted in the mouth.

Breakfast was better than most other hotels we've stayed in - plentiful supplies of fresh croissants, meat, cheese, yoghurts, fruit jiuce etc and a refill of coffee.

It's right to say that the staff speak little English - but this is Italy - why should they? We also had no problem at all about going out - we were given a key to the front door and so could come and go as we wished.

Not sure how easy it would be to travel by public transport into Venice - we had a car - the hotel blurb says the railway station is 6 kilometres from the hotel and there is a frequent bus service though so should be OK.

I can't find a single negative thing to say about this hotel. If we hadn't already booked and paid for a hotel in the centre of Venice later this month I would definitely go back there and if we go back to Venice at any point in the future, this will be where we stay..

If you're going anywhere near Venice and want a lovely hotel with lovely staff outside the main tourist areas, stay here - you won't regret it.

Worth a visit for the restaurant alone - sublime fish menu - they will find you a steak if you really don't like fish. Just over 150 Euros for 3 course menu with 3 carafes of wine - amazing value, lovely service in a very elegant room. The chef came out to explain the menu to us in English.
The hotel is OK. It is not true that the staff only speak Italian - we communicated in French. The rooms are a little spartan although the bathrooms are lovely. Don't rely on the advertised wifi - there is no internet access at all.

The place itself is gorgeous, and my room was very clean. The review from September wasn't available when I booked, so I didn't realize the staff spoke only Italian. This isn't a complaint, since I was, afterall, in Italy, but it did impact my experience. Had I realized that my nonexistent Italian would be a factor, I would have planned differently so it's important to be aware of that fact. For instance, my reservation did not include a check-in time, so I thought I'd call to find that out once I arrived. I called several times the morning of my arrival, and nobody answered the phone. I thought I'd find the place and inquire in-person. When I arrived, no one was at the front desk. I wandered off, and when I returned the hotel was closed for the Italian "siesta" period in the afternoon. I returned again after the siesta time, and the hotel still wasn't open. Tried calling again, someone answered and that's when the language barrier first came into play. I eventually parked myself outside the hotel until they finally opened their doors.

My major complaint with the place is that I was not informed that they closed the gate at a certain hour. (I was not handed anything in writing -- in Italian or otherwise -- nor was there any information posted.) I went to a concert in Verona, and by the time I was able to get the car out of the parking lot and drive the couple of hours back to the hotel, it was 3:30am. Much to my shock, I could not get past a large, closed gate and there was no way to enter by foot. The automatic gate mysteriously opened at 5:15am. If I'm paying for a hotel room, I expect the opportunity to actually sleep in it. If the place cannot be entered after a certain time, I expect to be informed. Sitting in my car trying to stay awake until after 5am definitely put a damper on the experience of staying at this hotel. With only nine rooms and a requirement that the room key be left behind, staff were aware that a guest was not there but locked the front gate anyway. That's really not okay.

What can i say about this hotel. To start with is it's quiet just down the road from the village of Roncade. Beautiful Surroundings ideal place to get away from it all. The Rooms are well kept and modern and very clean. The Staff are very very friendly but don't speak english so an understanding of italian is needed. Of all the hotels i have been in this is deffenitly a A++ and would recommend to anyone that want's something tradditional.

Well, what can I say. Our family spent two weeks at this gorgeous villa in a fabulous apartment called Le Magnolie. I was in heaven. It is so elegant, of an era long gone, but the apartments are fully renovated with every modern convenience. The owners are wonderful and go out of their way to help you with every request. Beautiful gardens surround the villa where you can spend quiet time enjoying the peace and beauty of the Veneto countryside. Lovely local village within 10 minutes walking distance where you can buy everything you need with friendly locals who treated us like family. The village is called St Andrea and it has the best bakery in the area where we bought fresh bread and pastries every day. From the villa you can reach the main cities of the Veneto by train or hired car. Venice is only 20 minuites away and the beautiful elegant town of Padua is 15 minutes by bus. We also visited Verona, Lake Garda, Bologna, Bassano del Grappa, Trieste and the Euganean hills with the medieval walled towns of Este and Montagnana, all of which were breathtaking and unforgetable. Thank you for a great holiday.
