We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Italy. It's very close to the highway. There is a free and secured parking in front of the hotel. Our first room was very clean but had a strong smell of smoke. We asked for another one, and that wasn't a problem. The second room was perfect for a stop over. There is a brasserie next to the hotel with good food. (don't forget to make a reservation) . It was very quite during the night. The breakfast was ok, fruit, cheese, cereals, ........a nice hotel on the way to the ski slopes.

This is a new hotel, so is in great condition. Is smart, has a comfy bed, huge tv and good shower. Next door to a good brasserie and was sub 50 euros for our stay including free parking. Breakfast was simple but for 6 euros, more than adequate.
The reception staff were great!
Highly recommended.

There are two Ibis Archamps Porte de Geneve. My taxi driver, who has driven in the Geneva area for 20 years, fetched me from GVA and took me to where I asked: Ibis Archamps Porte de Geneve. It was the wrong hotel. I apparently was to know, all the way from Portland, Oregon, USA, that two hotels with identical names, quite close to each other, were differentiated by the mere word Budget. I now realize that one must show the physical address of a hotel in order to prevent this waste of time and money.
The second taxi ride secured by the wrong Ibis Archamps took me right to the newly built budget hotel. It has a clean modern look, quite beautiful in a very pared down way. The room however was so spartan, although clean and well designed, that I felt with its linoleum floors and bed which leaves about 2 feet aroung the edge and has an overhanging bunk bed, like I was in a space pod or on an overnight ferry wide. Don't be a big person, you might not fit in the shower stall.
The staff is so nice and thoughtful that I was satisfied to have a place to recuperate from my long flight (23 hours of travel with two plane change layovers, it was a frequent flyer free ticket). If one has no car the place is in the middle of nowhere, not easy to get anyone by bus, and far from any trains.
There is an unbelievably gourmet restaurant next door which they call "le bistro" and it was a gastronomic happening to eat there the first night. Order the deconstructed, El Bulli inspired tarte au citron and be amazed and thrilled. The beouf tartare looked spectacular, and the open kitchen is also being filmed as well customers and shown on a big screen during the meal. The place is gorgeous and elegant. Across the street is a really sinister and scary Buffalo Grill (a chain). Unless you like Sheri's, McDonald's etc, why eat in France at such a creepy place.
Take the breakfast supplement, as there is literally no where near to eat. When I arrived it was pouring and has been for two days. It is not like taking the bus down the road is appealing. With a car however this is great place to just crash. It has a TV, and everything is brand new. If your needs are for no luxury but clean and not expensive, go for it.
I do need to say that it merits only four stars. The WC door is really squeaky, the toilet runs and runs after a flush if you don't jiggle the buttons and I was given a single top sheet and thin single blanket which I had to find on the top bunk, the bottom double bed merely had a bottom sheet and two pillows with pillow cases. I was so exhausted when I arrived that it did not feel welcoming to have to hunt around for some covers. The other above nice staff, newness and next door resto, plus price of 79 Euros per night made the difference.

Room Tip: The back rooms are a bit noisy during the day as they are landscaping next door. It is 20 Sept 2013...

A lovely budget hotel and great value at 50 euros per night. This hotel was less than six months old when we stayed in Aug 2013 and an excellent choice. Although a budget hotel, it has been designed with thought and style, rooms are functional, comfortable and immaculate. There is a lift to the upper floor and a very neat breakfast buffet which is free for children - adult rate is a mere 6 euros. The hotel is easy to find and is situated in a very pretty alpine region. For added convenience, there are several smart restaurants nearby. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

This is a newly opened Ibis. Our room was adequate, light, airy, with air conditioning. It was very comfortable, staff friendly and helpful if needed. We had a room at the rear, no view but also no traffic noise. The location was perfect for us since we were at a wedding in nearby Bardonnex. Breakfast was good value, but we only had it once. Drinks and snacks available from a machine in the lobby. There is a new wine bar/restaurant next door, which we used once. WE will definitely use the hotel again.

The Ibis near the Geneva airport was 165 CHF (hotel is dated and worn), but the Ibis Budget in Archamps was only 72 CHF. We chose the Ibis Budget because of the price and that it is new. Hotel opened in May 2013. Rooms were basically furnished and decorated, but clean and comfortable. Ibis hotels are pretty spartan anyway. Bed was comfortable. Receptionists were friendly and helpful. They knew the way to the airport and provided directions, along with instruction on local places to get food. They also helped me by storing something in the restaurant refrigerator. (Hotel does not have ice machines for the rooms.) The hotel does not have a airport shuttle. We had a rental car. We recommend this hotel if you want to save money and need something close to the airport. We tend to be particular when it comes to a hotel. It needs to be clean and not run down. The Ibis Budget in Archamps met the requirements. Parking is limited, but free. Construction was taking place on the road out front. We stayed in a room on the back side of the hotel.
