The family room was nice and big. We got a whole flat in opposite building. But we did a mistake to buy also a breakfest in this hotel. It was too expensive but almost nothing to eat. No vegetables, no yogurts, only very few pieces of ham and salami. It was really not worth 4x7 Eur.

Stayed with family and kid in guest house for several nights in the end of August/beginning of September while travelling around Bavaria. We did not stay in guest house itself but in their apartments across the street. Apartments were really great - nice, clean and large rooms with nice view from balcony and everything we needed. First thing to say – the location of guest house is perfect if planning to travel around Bavaria and Tyrol. It is just on a crossroad between Munich, Saltsburg, Konigszee, Innsbruck, just two hours’ drive from Italy, so everything of interest to see is within quickly reachable distance. Guest house has also excellent restaurant to dine with tasty food, local beer and often with live Bavarian music. In restaurant’s garden outside there was also some playing space for kids, so you can relax while kid is playing. Personal is very friendly and helpful. Only minor disappointment was may be too “formal” and dry breakfast menu (only bread, cheese, ham, flakes and boiled egg) - from a guest house in little spectacular Bavarian village one would anticipate something more personal and “home-made” type. Otherwise we were very satisfied with our stay.

Found this Gasthof via google when searching for a place to sleep near Austria, notably as I did not want to enter Austria yet to avoid the need for 2 vignettes on this trip. Flintsbach is a lovely village just at the entrace tot the Alps. There was even a sign on one of the houses: “Hufschmied seit 1390” (Blacksmith/Farrier sinds 1390… wow)
The hotel is very nice, with a restaurant and a butcher attached to it. I was lucky: my 1-person-room appeared to be a complete little apartment in a building across the street. Spacious and very comfortable There was safe motorcycle parking in front and next to the hotel. Check-in was smooth. The Wifi was a bit of a puzzle (Ask if you have problems!) but was working in the end. The restaurant still served an execllent meal and a few local beers. I had a really good night sleep. Breakfast was Good, and checkout was smooth.
Recommended place.

Room Tip: If you are lucky, you get an apartment (across the street). Very Spacious.

We only stayed one night on a way to Austria and Italy and needed a place to crash overnight. I truly wished we could have stayed longer. Our friends' little girl called it a "fairytale".
Room was spotless, service excellent and the food quite good. We had dinner out on a patio, and also breakfast in the morning. Although we are not big breakfast people, trust me, there was enough to hold you over till late afternoon.
WiFi worked great, there was plenty of parking. wonderful place!
