We booked the Studio at Dilston Mill for Easter weekend. To be honest, it was because we couldn't find a pub locally with a spare room. But we were delighted with the room and the beautiful setting. We spent a day in Newcastle and a day exploring and walking around Hadrian's Wall. The owner was extremely helpful and helped us get booked on the concert-goers coach back from the Sage to Corbridge. We sampled the Help Yourself and the cooked breakfasts. Both were excellent and we liked the independence compared with a more conventional B&B. The only criticism we had was that it was a bit pricey for a B&B. Don't be put off because it's isolated - there are pubs and restaurants in Corbridge and if it's fine you can walk there in 20 minutes, or drive in 5. A lovely spot, and we may return!
