“Great home in the perfect spot.”
Reviewed 5 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

An absolutely lovely house in a beautiful part of the world. Corbridge is so handy for exploring the area around Hadrian's Wall and this house is a great base for getting the best out of Corbridge.
Everything you need is just a moment's walk away. Thoroughly recommended and would like to return one day.

Liked best: Being able to be right in the town as soon as you walk out of the door.
Liked least: Parking is a bit fiddly but not too bad if you have just the one vehicle.

I stayed in the cottage with my husband, daughter & her husband plus 2 young children aged 5 & 21 months. There was plenty of space in the cottage for us all – family bathroom upstairs and small shower room/toilet downstairs. It is also well equipped with everything you need. The cottage is well located in Corbridge with excellent Greengrocer, Baker, Butcher & Deli just around the corner. We had one parking permit but it was sometimes difficult to park on the street, however there are plenty of other parking spots in the village and if really stuck you can park in the Village Car Park, 5 min walk over the bridge.
I wouldn’t really recommend it for children under 5 as there is a lot of lovely old furniture and ornaments so one of us was always keeping an eye on the youngest. We took a baby gate which we fitted to her bedroom door so she didn’t wander in the night but it was not possible to fit this at the top or bottom of the stairs.
Both Richard and Wendy were very helpful allowing my husband to leave some of our luggage a few days earlier as he and son-in-law were going to walk the Hadrian's Wall.

“Not like other vacation rentals..more like coming home.”

We were met by friendly Helen who provided essentials for our arrival. Tired after a long journey we sat by the fire in a most beautiful room, warm and cosy. This house is not like other vacation rentals, it was more like coming home. We stayed for a month and couldn't find fault with anything, the house, the linen, endless hot water, SkyTV, well equipped kitchen, the space, the owners and all in a great village. We would recommend it highly to anyone seeking the perfect break. It's a truly fantastic house.

“Lovely cottage in lovely location”
Reviewed 26 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Well-equipped and spacious, with a nice ambience - a perfect base from which to explore the area, and in which to relax in the evening. We especially appreciated the large living room, and the patio garden. The bed linens were fabulous, a little touch of luxury!

“Brilliant home in central Corbridge”

A house with character, but with all the mod cons. We were a family group of six - all adults, but there was ample space to eat together, sleep comfortably and enjoy each other's company without getting on top of each other. One son managed to hide himself in the dining room to complete essays in peace. The wifi ensured they were sent off in time! The kitchen was well stocked with milk and bread available on arrival. There was a variety of games, which were thoroughly enjoyed and there was enough reading material for a much longer stay than ours - plus Sky for the sports' fans. It is ideally positioned - we walked to the Corbriidge Roman remains and along the river, with Hexham and Northumbria both within easy reach.
Local shops were within walking distance as were eating places and pubs. You felt at home straight away - everybody would have liked to have stayed for a longer visit.

We would highly recommend this lovely cottage, really was a home away from home, clean, comfortable and cosy with a wonderful log fire, we were welcomed on a cold sunday afternoon by a lovley lady who looks after the cottage, heating on and bread and milk provided. A great family retreat in a picturesque village.
