Really a place near Trang to visit. Furtheremore it is free (no charge). The forest is huge and some passages are made at the top of the trees.

A true little gem. A beautiful canopy walk through the tree tops as well as a swamp forest trail offer a nice insight into Southern Thailands nature. Small shop offers drinks. Entrance for free.

Open 7 days a week, 8am- 4.30pm this place is a little known gem. It was so easy to get to on a public bus (we used the one heading to Satun and it cost 25 Baht each, we caught it at the bus stop directly outside the sports stadium) or you can get any minibus heading to Yan Ta Khao. On the way back stand on the opposite side of the road and wave down a bus or minibus (cost us 30 Baht each).

It's very quiet, but there are staff who speak English who will help. The canopy walkway isn't too high and is very safe, affording great views of the trees. There seemed to be a path underneath it if you don't like heights. After the canopy walk you can turn back or go onto the swamp walk.

The swamp walk was exciting and nerve racking - you can hear things, but not see them. Although we did see two large spiders, lizards and butterflies. The path is great and you can't get lost.

Can't believe it's free and that more people don't go!!!

We went to visit The Botanical Gardens on a Saturday, and were greeted by approx 8 school children at the entrance of the gardens, they all in song greeted us together in English welcoming us to the gardens and to enjoy it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, the trees, bushes, ferns and plants are all so beautiful and huge. We did the canopy walk, which was exhilarating. Was so amazing being 40m high, looking down on the tree tops.

The swamp walk was good too, we saw lots of different spiders, spider webs and interesting insects.

As we were coming to the end of walk there was a bit of baron land, were they have recently planted new trees.

I really couldn't believe that we were able to experience this all free of charge.

Short drive from the town (should be very cheap in tuk-tuk/motorbike taxi), free entrance. Enjoyable canopy walk and swampy-board-walk. We have spied snakes, those huge squirrel things, lizards, etc. Lovely bird song in the early morning. There's a small cafe in the car park serving drinks & snacks. We rarely spot other people, except at the entrance & in the cafe area.
