“Excellent choice of location .”

We are very pleased with MacKenzie cottage . Location high on a hill and amazing views over the Loch and hills. Very convenient central location for approach to the rest of Skye travel. Very tasty food at the local pub down the road and Oyster Shed for live Lamgostines and Fresh Oysters .
The cottage is comfortable, clean comfy beds, TV and wonderful shower and facilities for self catering. Kitchen utensils are very good quality but could do with a few more deep bowls.
Wifi availability would make it even better !
Choice of shorter walks locally, convenience store in Carbost and the Talisker distillery. Love the selection of literature on the rack. - mini information center.
Overall a very homely and cosy stay!
Thank you Dorothy and Ian .

“Amazing views and warm comfy cottage.”

The cottage was clean and the shower was just brilliant . Great to have a freezer although the Old Inn in Carbost served fantastic reasonably priced food. Definitely recommend a walk to Talisker beach.

We there to access the Cuillins, so location was perfect. The views from the cottage were beautiful and access to eating places was very good.

“Wonderful place”

We have been a party of four with our adult children and loved this cozy cottage. The view from the window is wonderful. The cottage is central for a lot of hikes.Next time we hope to stay there again. But our kids missed wifi.

“Warm, quiet, surrounded by farmland - a wonderspot spot.”
Reviewed 22 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We loved our stay in this house. It was well equipped and warm and light filled. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was very clean. We hadn't realised there was another cottage close by but it didn't affect us. When we were lounging in the front room it felt like just us and the sheep. We would love to return one day. So much to see and do that is very accessible from the cottage.

“A cosy, very enjoyable cottage”
Reviewed 11 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A clean, well decorated and well equipped cottage with all the things you will need for a very comfortable stay (including peace and quiet)! It is also equipped with plenty of information leaflets and books for the Isle of Skye and a large map to help you plan your daily trips.
