“WOW!!”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

This has to be one of the most stunning locations for a campsite imaginable, it really is picture postcard stuff!
The toilet/shower block is not the greatest but is also open to public walkers so can understand why. But please don't let this put you off, the scenery is amazing, great semi secluded pitches, a well stocked shop which also bakes fresh bread to order - the baguettes are amazing, nothing like warm fresh bread for breakfast.
The staff are amazing too, we were there during the World Cup and one of the guys was prepared to drive us up to the local pub a few miles away to watch the England match so we could have a drink and not have to drive. Unfortunately (or fortunately for him!) the pub had no tv!
Please visit this place, it is absolutely stunning with great walks all around including the amazing Fairy Pools just a few miles up the road.

Room Tip: Location would be a 10 out of 5 if I could!!

Had a great week at this site. Site managers really helpful and facilities very well kept, shop open additional hours when people really needed it. The location is out of this world and was safe for our little girl to play on the beach and in the shallow water. Enjoyed the fishing on the loch. Would very much recommend to everyone wanting some nature and good quality family time. We will be back :-)

Great location, I wasn't keen on the shower block but the water was hot and the hair dryer was good. We had fun having BBQ on the beach. Shop well stocked. For a remote site the facilities were good. We will stay here again.

A great camp site for those who have a car, and easy and stunning hikes around, however this is a desert place and not much to do around. Midges all over the place, even in September but this is common in the Highlands anyway. Sanitory block were clean but small. I read somewhere this campsite was voted n°1 in the UK and still wonder how they achieved this award as there was nothing special there...

Found there to be TOO MANY of those DO THIS, DO THAT signs all over this campsite.

Its in the back of beyond if you plan on travelling here.
Closes at 6pm so if you are 10 mins late like we were you have no electricity.

Exposed to the wind and unfriendly.

I did not enjoy this campsite at all

What an amazing find! To be fair, the weather helped as we had sunshine all the way. But the stunning setting of the Cuillins behind us and the rolling waves of Loch Brittle in front would have been amazing in any weather. A lovely, laid-back feel to the campsite, with excellent basic amenities and very friendly staff (be warned, no wifi or 3G coverage, but that actually feels like a bonus in this beautiful spot). Fantastic walking territory but we spent most of our time gazing with awe at the ever-changing moods of the mountains as the sun and clouds passed over them, and in the evenings, sitting on the beach with a wee dram and marvelling at the breathtaking clear skies and shooting stars.
