“Excellent pet-friendly well equipped cottage”
Reviewed 2 July 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Amazing quiet location with stunning views over Loch Harport. The cottage was very well equipped, comfortable, roomy and relaxing. We would definitely recommend Glendale cottage and we would like to go again ourselves. The cottage is dog friendly and our dog enjoyed the freedom of a fully secured garden. A perfect base for exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye.

“Comfortable and roomy cottage in a superb location”
Reviewed 21 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Great cottage with terrace and fab views out to Loch Harport. We were a couple staying there with 3 other friends , so having 2 bathrooms was ideal. The cottage is also very near the Taigh Ailean hotel , nice to ago for a drink or eat if you don't fancy cooking. Lovely terrace to sit out in the sunshine look at the view and listen to the birds. We were outdoor types so cottage is well placed near the middle of the island , not far from Glenbrittle or Sligachan for walking/climbing. Kitchen well equipped for self catering, only thing missing was a measuring jug! All in all we had a great week there , we all said we would come to Glendale Cottage again.

“Beautiful views, well equipped cottage. Very comfortable and dog friendly”
Reviewed 8 May 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Well located. Easy walking distance to a great lcoal pub which provided home made good food and real ale.
Beautiful views over the loch and views of the Cullin mountains.
Easy reach of the Talisker distillary.
In good weather can sit on a peaceful balcony to admire the views.

“Great Experience”
Reviewed 13 April 2018 for a stay in March 2018

We would definitely recommend this cottage. very clean and spacious and perfectly situated to explore the Island. ample supply of towels, logs for the wood burner and it made a change to have the basics supplied in abundance ie soap, washing up liquid etc.
The location was pretty perfect for exploring the island and also travelling the half hour to Portree to stock up on the big things, however a very well stocked little shop in Carbost ( close to the distillery) only a 5 minute drive
Local pub was 2 minutes walk and the food and atmosphere was good.
Great that we could take our mini schnauzers, cottage is dog friendly but absolutely no hint that others with dogs had stayed there - it was spotless
There were 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 grown up kids and there was ample room for us all
We'll be back

A very comfortable stay with every amenity you could ask for. A real bonus, in my opinion some of the best food on the island only 250m walk away in the Taigh Ailean Hotel. Will book again.

“Well located and comfortable cottage”
Reviewed 22 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We enjoyed our week in this cottage, Was just husband and myself and two dogs so very spacious for us. We appreciated the wine and milk that were waiting for us on arrival. We had brought all our food with us so was good to have plenty of storage space and also the fridge freezer. I used the breadmaker a couple of times which was handy to have.
The lounge suite was very comfortable and we were very taken with the the double bed which seemed much more comfy than ours at home so we had an inspection of the make of mattress and will probably be investing in one ourselves in due course. The wifi was good and reliable throughout our stay.
The garden and view from the same was lovely. The deck we sat out on a couple of times but weather and midges made it challenging on occasion, Smidge is definitely useful on that score and the weather is beyond anyone's control. It was great to be able to let the dogs out in the garden and our Border Terrier particularly fond of watching the cows across the way in the field opposite.
We did a couple of walks from the cottage as per the info folder in the cottage, the walk to Fiscavaig Beach was particularly enjoyable, probably helped by it being a beautiful day and the views were lovely.
We went for a meal on our last evening at the hotel we could walk to from the cottage and the food was excellent with a lovely view over the loch.
So all in all we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend.
