We stayed here for one night to attend a wedding We were really delighted with the standard of the accommodation, everything was of a high quality and exceptionally clean and well presented. Tea and coffee, bottled water, fresh fruit all provided. the room was warm and breakfast was first class. We would have no hesitation recommending this accommodation.

Tucked up a quiet side road, a warm welcome led seamlessly into a comfortable bedroom with everything you could need. Use of a residents lounge made stretching out the kinks from our journey so much the easier. Our private bathroom was big enough to have a double bed and grace any home improvement show. After a good nights sleep breakfast was delicious and just what the doctored ordered.

As we left the Dales we looked for another B&B north of Glasgow to break our journey up to Oban.Cloudside was one that we called and yes they could accommodate the four of us, as we drove thro Alexandria the area did not inspire us but the trusty old sat nav took us to the door, which was a picture with plenty of well tended flower baskets adorning the walls.James greeted us and showed the two rooms he had available one ensuite and one with a private bathroom - and what a bathroom it was, very spacious and very well fitted out,tho the narrow shower door reminded me that I need to loose a few pounds!! Beds were very comfortable but would have been better if ours had been kingsize -we just picked the wrong room the ensuite did have one.Breakfast was served in the dining room perfectly cooked by Morag and served by James.Cloudside is on the list now, definitely agree with their listing Well Done to you both

Everything you could possibly want in the room on arrival. A bowl of fruit, lovely fruit teas, hot chocolate etc. breakfast was great too. Really liked that the gate was locked at night too, felt very secure and reassuring as Alexandria itself doesn't seem like the nicest of areas. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay here again, it was great :-)

we were just beginning our second trip to Scotland in Balloch. james was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home. we were shown to a double room with ensuite overlooking the garden, a beautiful room stocked with everything you could possibly want. the bed was super comfy and the whole place was immaculately clean. the bonus for us was the large communal room with large flat screen tv and a range of dvds to choose from, after a long day sightseeing it was a welcome and comfortable stop before bed. breakfast was superb. we were pleasantly surprised to see sooo much fresh fruit layed out, a large pot of coffee was gently brewing on a hotplate and it gave the whole place that wonderful "breakfast aroma". morag's cooked breakfast was wonderful and her poached eggs (of which we are connoisseurs) were just perfect. a wonderful place to stay, highly recommended thank you both.

Room Tip: the room featured in the main website photo was perfect for us

We stayed in Rm. #1 (large double room with the stone garden seating area outside, large private bathroom off the hall), and everything about our stay (just one evening) was wonderful. Morag and Jim were warm and professional (and Morag cooked us a wonderful breakfast - try her scrambled eggs with herbs!). Robes, slippers, fresh fruit, flowers all over, tea with all sorts of snacks - the lovely garden- and everything was spotless. Highly recommended for a visit to the beautiful Loch Lomond area.

Room Tip: Room #1 - with the private bath in the hall- was wonderful, and as an added plus, had a beautiful st...

We received a very warm welcome on our arrival at Cloudside. We had previously asked for an earlier check in to allow us to get ready for the wedding we were attending. This was no problem and our room was ready for us. As we would be in late we were offered the later breakfast option which was great. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was also well stocked with fresh towels. The tea and coffee facilities in the room included hot chocolate, bottled still water and biscuits. We really appreciated having the water. The breakfast was very tasty with a good selection. We ate so much we didn't eat again till early evening!! On departure we had a chat with Jim about our stay. It was a very pleasant way to end our trip.
