Returned last Thursday from 1 week all inclusive. Had read reviews prior but went with books and a plan of doing nothing but relaxing due to a hectic job, and found it fitted my criteria. Close to the airport-15min transfer. Rooms spacious, and cleaned brilliantly. The pool area beautiful and always beds. Pool emptied every thursday, sea water, so cold, but refreshing in the heat.
The food was always hot and plenty, am a fussy eater but always found something. Always salad, a meat, a fish, a cold and hot pasta, potatoes and chips. Bread a plenty and the soup was divine!! Help-yourself drinks was ideal, never a queue (apart from about 22.50-as free drinks stop automatically at 23.00).
The surrounding areas was quiet, supermarkets, local bars, all local's not many tourists. Had a few nights out, nice and cultured and quiet, no nightclubs! (bonus).
All 4 of us (aged 24-31) had a lovely time, all we wanted was to recharge our batteries in hot weather, and we all did just that.
If you want busy, and 5 star, then dont go here, but if you like good food, peace and quiet, hot weather and a relaxing stay by the pool, then go. We paid £349 each, after flights this was £21 a day. this included hotel roo, all food and all drink, so I dont really know how anyone can grumble about that.
Quick mention to staff, yes one grumpy thing, but the rest were friednly, helpful, and considering they work long hours in hot heat, thumbs up-well done.

This was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in the food was terrilbe the staff unfriendly and unhelpful the rooms could do with a good clean and updating.as my partner won't eat meat he found he was hungry and we had to eat out all the veg dishes have meat cut up in them ( peas with chopped up beef ) if you like chips and jelly with ice cream you will be ok .
however the weather wasgreat and the pool was also lovely they do empty the pool on a Thursday and it takes all day to refill
The hotel from the outside looks like a car park not a very welcoming sight
It was a cheap hoilday won't be booking cheap again

Room Tip: don't go to this hotel would be the best thing.

To start, the only reason I'm not giving this hotel a 'terrible' review is because the rooms were clean and spacious, and although not air conditioned (what a shock, Tenerife is HOT!), that was a nice surprise considering the rest of this awful property.

I was staying here on a work trip (thankfully didn't fork out my own cash!), and never before have I been put in such horrendous accommodation on such a trip. Even though it's positioned as a budget accommodation, I have stayed in FAR BETTER places on a budget - hunt around, there is much nicer out there!

The first appearance of the hotel is like a huge, concrete car park, and it's in a dump of a resort which is apparently (so we heard) rife for muggings. Once I heard this, I didn't feel safe going out into the area.

The service on reception was mostly diabolical, except for one nice man (short silvery hair) who was friendly and who I was lucky enough to have when I checked in, other than that, the staff barked at you and everything you asked was too much trouble.

Service elsewhere was equally appalling, although it may have been due to the appalling, chav clientèle who were here, as many people were incredibly rude when they were getting drinks and so on. I did find that if I made an effort to use at least a bit of Spanish in my requests, the bartenders cheered up a bit and started to smile and be nicer.

The all-inclusive food is just very average, with very little choice (and big queues at peak times), though it seemed fresh enough. It was served in a brightly lit 'restaurant' (more like a work canteen) which doesn't feel pleasant and relaxing to eat in. As a vegetarian, I just had chips and salad. Breakfast was exactly the same every day.

The general appearance of the hotel is just awful. Red & white tape around pool/lounger areas (no doubt because of some danger or other), crumbling concrete, huge dilapidated corridors that resemble those in hospitals, and so on. The one good thing I can say is that the sea water pool was pretty nice, massive and looking out over the sea.

If was 18 and staying with a bunch of mates and interested in drinking all day, then it would probably be acceptable to me to be here as accommodation, but only because I wouldn't be able to afford better. At my age (40!), I like to be in a pleasant, relaxing environment, even if it's on a budget. This was far removed from that and I would never choose to stay here of my own accord. In fact, I DREADED coming back here at the end of each day exploring the island as was our remit!

Room Tip: Room 576 is massive, in a quiet location, has a huge balcony and a nice view. If you're staying...

When we arrived, yes the hotel did look like a car park but dont let that put you off as it is just an old building. When entering the reception area, place was clean and staff were ok, not the happiest but they were help full. We checked in and made our way to our room- about 20mins later as its such a massive resort we got lost a few times, but once youve figured it out its fine.
We got there just in time to catch lunch, it was on 12:30-3.

Food: Buffet style, every day we had something different. Fruit was always available.

Breakfast 8:30 - 10: There was a selection of cold meats, Cheese, cereals, Milk etc. Bacon, sausage, fried egg,Beans, bolied eggs, toast, pasteries, and more, I had Beans on toast with eggs and sausages nearly every day! was nice :)

Lunch 1:30 - 3: Salad bar available which included chopped lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, Peppers, onions, mixed veg dish, cold savory rice or pasta dish, cubed cheese plus dressings. On the hot side there was a selection of 6 dishes. one example was spag bol, fish, steak in gravy, mashed potato, mixed veg. There was always chips on too! We stayed for a week and there was always a different dish on. some were interesting i have to say, lol.

Tea: There was also the same wide salad selection with similar hot dishes.

In the restaurant there was also soft drinks on tap, beer and wine, which was good, help yourself.

Room: They were fantastic, we requested a sea view, high level and we got both. They were a bit tired but they were very clean and we had our bed made nearly every day with clean towels every other day. Even though we were all inclusive, all rooms were catered for self catering with microwaves, fridge, cooker, pots, pans glasses etc. Tv with english channels. Massive mirrors and wardrobes.

Entertainment: Ok , yes, the entertainment was a little bit painful at times, esp the magic show but some was great! including the parot show. I was fasinated when i saw a parrot riding a bike.

The all incusive bar was open untill 11, we tend to get a few drinks in then sit outside untill we had finished. There was usually alot of people out side untill 12-12:30 just chatting.

Night life outside resort: Ok, Las Gallatas is not a big city so there is not much nightlife, however if you turn left out of the hotel, about 100 yrs down the road there is a Spanish karaoke bar which was open untill 3:30am and an irish bar down the road from that which was open untill 2. (only 1 euro a pint there and 70 cents for wine) however it was very spanish. There is also a 24hr shop open, just opp the square, if you fancy a few nibbles early in the moring like we did.
If you want a busier night out get the bus, literally on the road opp the resort for 2.70 euros for 2 adults, single, go to Los Christianos. There are lots of Bars and restaurants there. We went during the day usualy as there were 2 beaches. We also went on a boat trip called ' Travelling Lady' where we saw dolphins and whales. It was only 15 euros for 2 hr boat trip.

Also you can walk down the coast from lost Christianos to Playa de las Americas, takes around 30mins would defo recommend as a nice stroll during the day.

Pool: This was fantastic, it was HUGE!!! however whilst we were there it was cleaned twice so we didnt use it for 2 days but there is a small beach connected to the resort so we went there. Would definately take snorkling kit as there were lots of beautiful fish to see just meters from the coast line.

Overall we had a great time and met some lovely people.
I would reccomend this place to a friend.
Dont listen to the people moaning about this resort, we has a lovely time.

alos, there is a safe provided in the rooms for just 2.20 euros a day. If you use that you are guaranteed all your belongings are safe.

We were a couple aged 28.

Room Tip: Sea View High floor
