“Once again enjoyed a lovely week away.”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

Just back from this hotel and once again enjoyed a really relaxing week.
Weather wasn't brilliant but the hotel can't be blamed for that.
Stayed in room 387 really accessible from reception, lovely and quiet with a gorgeous view.
Staff as always really friendly.
We enjoyed some of the shows at the evening.
Missed the aqua gym it wasn't on because the pool was too cold! (Due to the weather)
Food does get a bit 'samey'
Breakfast is our favourite lots of lovely pastries. Once you've had lunch you may not fancy dinner as they are quite similar, a couple of times my 9 year old had pizza from next door.
We don't eat fish fingers, burgers etc so the lack of them at the snack isn't an issue for us. A nice salad sandwich is plenty.
I absolutely love the locals and the surrounding area everybody is so friendly
We got some great bargains this time, lots of clothes and shoes at really good prices just around the corner (well you have to do something when the sun goes in!)
If you get a good price for this hotel, I'd definitely recommend it.
We'll be back again in October

- Couple
- Early 20s
- All inclusive
- 1 week

We've just come back from an all-inclusive holiday to the Alborada Beach Club and overall we had a fantastic experience. The statement "you get what you paid for" definitely applies!

- First Impressions:
We arrived at the hotel in the morning and my first impressions were that the hotel looked a bit dingy and dark. Going inside to the lobby I quickly changed my mind, it was clean and tidy and the staff very friendly on-hand to help. As we arrived too early to have access to our room we were able to leave all of our bags in the reception behind the desk and explore the hotel. Overall the place looked very nice.

- Apartment/Room:
We had an apartment for a room which was fantastic as it was very spacious. The bedroom was nicely furnished however the bed wasn't the most comfortable. Also, when we checked underneath the bedcovers, we had two single beds pushed together (which explains the uncomfortable line between us in the bed). We also had 1 pillow each but asked at reception for another two which they happily gave us.

The bathroom was small but nice, the shower/bath was very good and water always hot. Downside was the lighting as there was one little light in the room over the sink which made it difficult to wash my hair when I had to.

The living room was spacious and nicely decorated. We had some pictures on the walls etc. and a TV. Whilst my boyfriend complained about there not being many English channels, I had no problem with it as I wasn't interested in any other channel but the radio!

The kitchen was nice, we did not use any of the cooking facilities being all inclusive but we made use of the cupboards and fridge. As well as forks etc. when we bought back leftover takeaway. I found everything to be clean
TIP: The cutlery drawer is underneath the kitchen table!

The balcony had a table and chairs and washline which was handy. Beautiful view from where we were and clean.

Overall the rooms were all very clean which we were happy with though on two occasions the bedroom got quite cold. I wasn't sure if there are heaters or not. Also, there were only 2 available plug sockets, 1 in the kitchen, the other in the bathroom.

- Food:
The food wasn't what I expected (I should have paid more attention to reviews). Mainly English food (wasn't too happy about that!), though one night we had Paella. I found that the food was generally warm, not too hot. However, the food did really improve during the week so we ate a lot and definitely made the most out of our all inclusive. The breakfast menu doesn't really change, for lunch there are always chips, salads and bread if you're fussy. Dessert I found to be the nicest course with a variety of fruits, ice-cream and other things over the week.
Overall expect school dinners, sometimes it'll be really good, other times OK. With that in mind you'll be fine!

TIP: When using the Juice machine, remember that it is the concentrate that comes out. You'll see a little button on the right-hand side that says "aqua", which is your water button and it comes out of the apply juice chute ;)
TIP: The hot drink machine also has English written on it. 9/10 people missed this!

- Pool bar/Pool:
The pool bar was nice, there are many places to sit as well as a games corner. Also many sunbeds so we managed to be in our own space. The pool is extremely big and clean for the most part. On occasions the hotel's scuba diving centre would come into the pool with their gear on & seaweed but it's cleaned out. I didn't use the pool at all unfortunately as the weather in Las Galletas wasn't hot and very cloudy which meant a very cold pool. Didn't stop others though!

- Entertainment:
We caught TV Box (I think is the name), which was really good fun. Aside from that the entertainment seemed very repetitive and the kids songs got stuck in my head which was upsetting!

- Atmosphere:
Really nice atmosphere overall, very relaxed.

- Staff:
Very nice and friendly staff. We were EXTREMELY impressed by the cleaners and the staff in the restaurant.

- Hotel Location/Travel:
The location of the hotel was quite nice though next time we will be closer to Playa de las Americas. We also noticed that it is a beach club which isn't really beside a great beach so we passed but didn't stop there. Many stones etc.

Easy transfer to the main towns and cost a max of 2 euros each person on the bus. You can ask the driver to let you know your stop so you don't get lost.

"Costa del Silencio" = the silent coast so around are quite a few food shops, a CC (shopping centre) and that's about it. It isn't a very lively area being out twice in the evening. So if you'd like the choice of being somewhere quiet and travelling to the noise it's recommended.
TIP: Last bus at 10pm
TIP: Buy a Bonocard for 15 euros, gives you a slight discount on travel and can be used for the whole family.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, my boyfriend said he'd stay again but I wouldn't! It was nice but not nice enough for me to not want to try anywhere else. I hope this helps and enjoy your holiday!

Just back from the Alborada beach club and apart from the poor weather which the hotel cannot be blamed for we had a lovely time:)
Yes, the food wasn't amazing but for £350 all inclusive for 3 people for a week I think it's good value.
Breakfast was our favourite, lunch and dinner are much of a muchness so once you've had one you may not fancy it again.
Salad was always fresh and if nothing else you could always put cheese on it; for us that was plenty we don't eat things like burgers and nuggets so the lack of these isn't an issue for us.
Pizzas next door to the hotel are less than 4 euro, my 9 year old was happy to have them a couple of times. There's also a
KFC type place next door if people like that kind of thing.
There was a couple of good shows again this time which we enjoyed.
We asked for room 387 which was perfect, nice, warm quiet corridor easily accessible from the lift at reception with a pool/sea view and when the sun came out it was gorgeous between 7 and 8pm.
I missed the aqua gym this time but there was hardly any sun so the pool was too cold.
We enjoyed some lovely walks this time and we got some bargain clothes and shoes that no one will have at home :)
We really love silencio and gallates the locals are so nice and friendly we would like to buy a place there. It's not commercialised like las Americas etc and its a good transfer from the airport.
If you want drunken noisy English, fish, chips and burgers don't go here you'll hate it.
If you want to blend in with the locals and enjoy a relaxing slow pace with some gorgeous views (and usually good weather) book now, you won't regret it.
We'll be back again in October when hopefully it'll be lovely and warm again:)x

Just came back from a week all inclusive. We took our granddaughter who is six years old. From the outside the hotel looks like a multi-story car park. But the rooms where ok but in need of some TLC. The staff where friendly and Ollie the animation lady was good with the kids. Snacks where only between 4.30-5.30 and where poor. The food at the restaurant was the worst I have ever had and the selection was poor.also it was mostly warm and sometimes cold and every meal we had to warm up in the microwave. There was nothing for small children like nuggets or fish fingers. Although it was a cheap holiday I would not go back to this hotel even if it was free.

Another return holiday staff and entertainers just get better, pool is spotless ,lots of mixed holidaymakers making for an excelent holiday at a very reasonable price, only down side coral sub(on site dive centre) does not cater verywell for brits, only french and belguims which is a pity as you will see in the past i gave it a good review. All in all excelent value.

Room Tip: Lots of excelent local restraunts for that special meal

Generally you get what you pay for, the food is a bit rubbish but you won't starve, not a huge amount of variety. Seemed good for kids entertainment but not so much for the adults. Rooms were big and clean, lovely shower that worked perfectly. Massive pool with waves crashing over, unfortunately bringing in a lot of crud from the sea. Nice little town within walking distance. Staff generally polite and helpful. Probably won't go back but have stayed in worse.

Room Tip: Try and get a room that's nearer the back of the hotel and there is quite a bit of road noise an...
