We're here in the Annapurna at the moment. Yes the apartments are old and need a total refurbish but they're clean and comfy. Pool is fab. Lookin out to the sea but not a beach. My husband has food allergies but the chefs were great to accommodate him. Great array of food. It's a bit out from everything but entertainment here all the time. All inclusive is great. Snacks during the day but not needed really. Bus outside the door into Los Cristiano. €1.50. And takes 20 mins. All in all greattach holiday and fab weather. Will definitely return.

We came to the hotel thinking we would at least be greeted with politeness but nope we got shoes to have food then told to wait for our room by the way we got the hotel at 9pm

We got to the room and the beds were poorly made and Here was mascara stains all over the white sheets!

The bar refused to serve us after 9pm even tho the info in our room said midnight! And there was no Everett’s in except one night in a 7 night holiday! (Btw they have a board saying about the entertainment)

We could barely sleep sue to having two really bad single beds pushed together, I wouldn’t mind but I had double checked this before we booked and was reassured that this we want going to be the case.

We didn’t get any kettle or cutlery or plates like we was promised either!

We booked two trips through the hotel and honestly I regret the second one with fake info and fake promises of going up a colcano instead you see it from a distance! Not worth even paying half price with for two of us was roughly 70 euros!!!!!

Not one member of staff was friendly or has asked if we are buoying our stay!

The pool was filthy too.

Honestly regret booking here and it ruined my holiday

It’s cheap for a reason.
All inclusive, isn’t all inclusive.
There is no snacks for anyone including children unless you pay for them and it isn’t cheap, ice creams have to be paid for too, the only all inclusive drinks are out a machine or beer & soft drinks all are watered down & tasted vile. You can’t get drunk here that’s for sure..
the hotel on arrival looked like a prison we honestly thought we were at a car park, the only good thing is the salt water pool, which may be green and slimy but it’s fresh...

The food wasn’t actually that bad and managed to eat with quite a lot of variety, vegan and vegetarian options, the restaurant takes your room number on arrival so your only allowed in once so you can’t return again once left...

You have to pay €10 for sun lounger beds or sit or lie on a rock solid lounger.

The room was infested with mini ants, beds rock solid, and your joy allowed cutlery or kettles or any sort of stuff for you to actually eat or drink in your room unless you request it and then you get told NO!!!

Get a bus into main Las Américas for €1.50 and spend the day there is was amazing best day of our holiday .

Only book of your planning to just sleep and then go elsewhere all day everyday... would return to Tenerife but not this hotel.

Me and my 3 children stayed here for 2 weeks. We booked through love holidays and it worked out about £22 each per night and I couldn’t wish for a better price. The hotel had such a good advertisement too which is why we chose it. I was very worried after having read lots of bad reviews and as it turns out I did have some reason to be. Every year we go away on all inclusive holidays (sometimes in Tenerife) and everywhere we have stayed I would return but I would never return here. I will say that those who write the 5* reviews must have low expectations and standards. But in this review I’ll try to be as balanced and helpful as possible.

I will warn you in advance, on arrival you will be disappointed as every photo online has been photoshopped. The hotel itself is very ugly: looks like a multi storey car park, graffiti on the walls, very run down, looked like it was falling apart, badly constructed car park outside, needs a good paint etc. However when we went inside we were pleasantly surprised as the lobby was very welcoming and the hotel was spotless inside. We were checked in very quickly and efficiently and given a leaflet with all the information about the hotel and our room key along with basic directions to start looking for our room. Despite it being quite a large complex, there were signs everywhere and it didn’t take long to find our room and we never got lost once during our stay. When we were checking in we thought that the reception staff were friendly but they had very poor English so communication was quite difficult. There are well over 800 rooms and they are split into two blocks with lifts. This hotel was built in the 60’s so to be fair we were expecting the hotel to be dated. If you want a modern, flashy, new hotel this isn’t the place for you and it doesn’t come with all the 5* luxuries that for some reason people seem to expect.

First I’ll talk about the rooms. Yes they are dated but this didn’t bother us one bit as we didn’t spend much time in the room anyway. I also thought they were really good value for money. The rooms are huge as are the balconies along with plenty of storage space. We had nothing we needed in the room and this is the first place I’ve stayed where you had to ask for it and in some cases leave a deposit. We asked for a kettle which we never got, asked for pillows and we got them about 3 days later and only got one. Safes are a very reasonable price €2.25 per day. A light in our room didn’t work, along with the phone and some of the plugs were dodgy (hanging out of the wall and metal sticking out of them). Furniture was in good condition and we had 4 ITV channels on TV. Paid for WiFi which we thought was cheap but it didn’t work. Bed was so uncomfortable and we had several ants nests in rooms. As for cleaning, it was very basic (toilet bleached, floor mopped, loo rolls changed, towels changed and beds made with same not new sheets.) Was supposed to cleaned 5 days per week and on one occasion it wasn’t cleaned because it was “busy” apparently. Also on a few occasions cleaners barely left us with any towels.

As for food we thought generally it was good considering it’s only a 3* hotel. It’s buffet meals so you can choose what you want and self service drinks. Most of it was tasty and plentiful but there isn’t much choice plus it’s very repetitive. Food was lukewarm at best, never hot. Me and my daughter managed to eat every night but my son didn’t. He is a fussy eater yet everywhere we have been (including 3* hotels) he has managed to eat but here he had chips and pasta everyday. As fore what there was we had chips, pasta, meat, veg, potatoes & salads. There’s not much for kids to eat no pizza, burgers & sausages ect. There were a few theme nights per week and you could tell a lot of effort had been put into these. If you do want to get dressed up this isn’t the place for you as most people just go to dinner in pool clothes. As for snacks, they had chips, pizza and ice creams which they expected you to pay for. They had a snack bar which was open for an hour and all they had was cold leftovers from lunch. Not really all inclusive. Drinks were even worse. They were the cheapest of the cheap. Extremely weak and were weird brands we have never heard of before. Served in plastic cups too. Not pleasant at all.

The pool bar closes at 9pm so the only place to get drinks is in the entertainment room. Can only get certain drinks up there though, no juice, no water, no cocktails. After 9pm, there isn’t a nice area just to sit and chill with your family. They also need more bar staff on. Only one person serving at all times results in 20 minute queues. Bar is big enough to have 3 people serving, this is definitely needed. All inclusive ends at 23:00 and after that there will be 3 people serving!! Pool bar needs more chairs and parasols on the outside tables. Food hall needs better planning too again long queues just to get food.

Some staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful however some are not. The restaurant and bar staff don’t even smile and clearly do not want to work there. The man in reception with dark hair and glasses is so arrogant. I understand he’s only doing what the management have told him but the way he treats guests is unbelievable. Went down to reception to complain one night, he refused to talk to us, was laughing at us, shrugging and saying that it wasn’t his problem to deal with. When we asked for towels and pillows, it was like it was a chore for them. I do feel slightly sorry for them because they are put under very strict limitations by the management and are clearly trying there hardest. The best members of staff by far were the entertainment team. John was fab doing aqua gym and Sandra always had time for the little ones, just a shame mario let’s the team down.

For us it was the pool which was the selling point for the hotel and it’s by far the best part of this place. The pool is massive and breathtaking as are the views. As it’s salt water filled, it’s freezing but to be fair lovey once in. It’s emptied and cleaned once a week however we were shocked to find out it would close mid afternoon despite being told it would close at night. We loved that you could hear the waves crashing onto the rocks but quite a few times the pool flooded and overflowed the lower sun beds so be careful about that. The pool area isn’t that clean, left out drinks which resulted in loads of ants. Have a small area of private beach right next door which is good. Parasols are very annoying, kept banging our heads on them.

A few nights into our holiday without any warning at all the hotel suddenly changed their policy regarding all inclusive. They said that after 9pm you could only drink beer, wine and fizzy drinks. We went to complain and reception refused to talk to us so us and about 10 other people went to reception the next morning to complain again. After around an hour we finally got it switched back to how it was before. So we had wasted our time trying to get back what we should have had in the first place. Also the management didn’t bother to inform staff about the change until the night before and didn’t tell guests at all. Unacceptable!! Also they said they would be showing the football on a big screen in the entertainment room yet you had to pay €3.50 for drinks if you were watching it. I thought we were all inclusive...? They even had security on the door confiscating drinks...

In the leaflet it clearly stated that if we missed lunch on our first day we would get lunch on our last day as all inclusive finishes at midday. The day before we left we went to reception to arrange for us to stay for lunch and they refused to let us have it because they had changed the policy. We showed them our leaflet and told them we were complaining to the manager and they suddenly changed their minds and said we could have lunch. On your last day you have to check out by 12pm and they cut bands off at 12pm so we took our stuff down at 10:30 am and they said that they were going to cut our bands off. I refused as all inclusive doesn’t end until 12pm and again told them I wanted to complain to the manager and they suddenly changed their minds and let us keep our bands on.

The entertainment isn’t great either. Kids disco was about 4 songs and the other entertainment was either a singer, belly dancer or a fashion show not sure how that is suitable for children. Also adult entertainment meant to be 10pm - 11pm but this always started late 10:15 or 10:30 etc. As for daytime entertainment the hotel advertises as it being activities all throughout the day however only about twice did it actually happen. There is table tennis and arcade machines and that’s it for the kids.

The hotel is located in Las Galletas which is a traditional Canarian fishing village. It’s very quiet and there is not a lot to do there. There is a harbour which is quite nice to walk around. There are loads of restaurants which do British, Chinese, Mexican, tapas, fish etc and they are all really cheap. There’s a few shops there but it’s mostly supermarkets. If you want to go to los Cristianos, Costa adeje or playa de las Americas there is a bus stop outside for €1.50 each or a taxi rank outside the hotel for about €15. It’s really easy to get to other places. There’s loads of trips you can do which can be organised through the hotel. Las Galletas isn’t a place where you can go clubbing and there is no nightlife here. There are plenty of other resorts that can offer this to you but don’t blame the hotel for your lack of research.

All in all, I wouldn’t return but to be honest the hotel isn’t terrible. I can tell they are doing there best to bring it up to date but I think they need to worry about the management. I think the hotel is falsely advertised so can you blame people for expecting too much? Not really. If you want a holiday where you can relax by the pool, get a taste of canarian life or just a place to stay whilst you do all the trips then this it the right hotel for you.But if you want go clubbing and get off your face this isn’t the place for you. Tenerife is a lovely island and thankfully we did some great trips so we really enjoyed our holiday.

Have just returned from a 10 day break with my hubby, mother in law and Aunt. I have to agree the building has great potential which is apparently being addressed as it’s been neglected by previous owners.

On a positive note, we found the staff very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I’m guessing that negative comments about staff members is probably due to visitors being rude in the first place, speak to others how you wish to be spoken to yourself. We found the food to be good, plentiful and lots of choice available. Rooms were spacious and any extras such as kettle, irons etc were provided very quickly after being requested.

Pool is massive and plenty of sun beds available at all times. Entertainment could be improved upon, but the belly dancer and magician were brilliant.

Would definitely return in the future, which if the refurb is completed we would have no complaints.
