I found this cosy restaurant by chance, recommanded by a local in the sleepy town of Conversano (40 Km from Bari) just when we had resigned to the idea we'd find a restaurant open on a Sunday, past 10pm.
It took a little while for the food to arrive, but when it did, it was very tasty - well worth waiting for. We had a seafood platter of oysters, prawns and mustle that , according to my wife, it beats any London top sushi restaurant. For me it was the wine list that did the trick - had no idea Italy produced such fine wines - we had some nicely chilled Verdicchio.
Staff were friendly and welcoming.
