“A real provencal experience”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

If you want to get away from all those very twee establishments catering to bobos and experience a real country feel with good home cooking from produce off the farm - this is it. Lovely courtyard looking out onto those geese destined for the table. The cockerel will sound the morning call to breakfast - or perhaps the donkey. Vincent and Carole produce their excellent meals from their vegetable and meat produce of the season and the dishes are adjusted to what is really available. You can’t get any fresher than that, but it may limit what they can offer. A fantastic bouillabaisse de volaille shared with an international table of guests from Japan, Belgium, Switzerland, China, Germany and Spain was no hardship. nor were the homemade jams for breakfast. Nestled intimately in the country just outside the village and not at all far from a host of destinations, including Isle sur La Sorgue, Avignon and Orange, it is suited to people that want to get out and explore the region and come home at the end of the day to a welcoming aperitif and hearty food. It is an auberge, don’t expect to turn up to eat when you feel like it, mealtimes are fixed, but the chance to compare notes with the guests around communal tables is well worth a bit of discipline.

I'm a city gal and so was a little unused to this very traditional rustic farmhouse. The room was clean but really quite old and very basic. The hosts were very friendly and we booked a dinner with them for 1 night. Its served communal style with all the other guests of the B&B and it starts at 8 and ends about midnight. We paid 24Euros excluding wine and found it very value for money. Most of the food served comes direct from their farm. Breakfast is a simple french affair with an assortment of jams, bread and coffee/tea. It was fairly inexpensive (we paid 67 Euros for each night) so I can't really complain. Everything was in order, nothing didn't work, room was cleaned everyday, location wasn't too bad as long as you had a car and everyone else seemed friendly! Probably only thing I have to say is that the rooms aren't airconditioned. But oh well, its an old farmhouse.

If you are looking for a personal contact to the owners and other guests, this is the place for you.
Nice french plain fare with a focus on local produced goods. Everything has a personal touch, the food, the housing, the surrounding. You can even buy some of the served foods to bring back home.

We visited the B&B with 2 small kids (1 and 3 years old). The evening food was not matching small children, even so the serving time (at 20:00h) starting. We fed them and put the to bed before we dined.
You need a car to reach the place

We stayed here in 2010 and couldnt find you on Trip Advisor before now. This lovely place is so well sited being close to the most beautiful of the small villages near Avignon.
Caroline and Vincent took care of every need. The wine they had available was superb ( and we drunk far too much) and it was inexpensive and always cold! Also a must is to try their lavendar wine.
I thought we had large plane trees on our NZ farm but the massive old plane tree, which incidently shaded us during those really hot days in summer, is a fantastic specimen and would dwarf ours here.
A friendlier place I could not imagine! Shame we live in NZ and can't visit often.
The farm itself is a lovely wander and the vegetables and fruit they grow typically provencally mouth watering.

Will defintely come again.

Despite missing our first night there because we had sent them wrong dates, Caroline and Vincent graciously accepted us for the next night, and even finagled a way for us to stay with them an extra night even though they were fully booked. We dined with them the first evening, which turned out to be one of the most memorable meals I've ever had the pleasure to experience. It was so enjoyable that we opted to do it again (but with a whole new menu) the second night! The hospitality exceeded expectations, the conversation was fantastic, and the food (sourced right from their own farm) was amazing!

Vincent and Caroline are wonderful hosts and the accomodations are charming, clean and quaint. It is relaxing to walk around the farm, sample the local grapes and count the hours until dinner is ready. Vincent is a fantastic cook and everything is local, Provencal goodness. Caroline is an informative hostess and takes great pride in sharing her homemade wines and jams with guests. This place is all about atmosphere. It's also very close to Avignon and Gordes, two must-see places. Thanks for a true Provencal experience Vincent and Caroline!

If you want to go to the Avignon festival and don't want to pay the overpriced accommodations in the city, this charming B&B is an excellent choice, at €60 for three persons, breakfast included, at the peak of the high season it is a bargain. We had two spacious rooms, two showers but only one toilet, don't expect too much room service, you are on a farm and the amenities are the sounds of the cicadas and the fragrance of the flowers. Caroline, the boss, and Vincent, the chef, are excellent hots and very friendly. Breakfast and dinner are opportunities to meet and chat with other guests from around the world. If you have kids there is a playground and plenty of land to burn energy safely. Medieval Avignon is only 15 minutes away by car and with a navigator is easy to reach.
