Les Marguerites is an outstanding place to stay. Antoinette and her family are incredibly welcoming and generous with their time. The food is delicious, the bedrooms are beautiful and the atmosphere is heavenly. Can't think of a better place to stay. Thank you The Fairhursts!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful!

We loved to stay in Les Marguerites. From the very first moment I felt that I knew Antoinette even though we hadn't met never before. She and whole family - they all are so warm and welcoming. We were treated like honoured guests!

Rooms are fabulous, airy and spotlessly clean. The beds there are so comfortable: one of the best I have ever slept in. We enjoyed a lot all those soft and big pillows and luxurious beddings. Actually I am planning to buy us same kind of feather duvets because I just can´t forget the feeling of sleeping under those ones in Les Marguerites - this is going to be expensive :)

I´d love to have as spacious & nice bathroom at home also.

Breakfast was delicious: all fresh and served with smile and interesting & cosy conversations. We also highly recommend the dinners Antoinette does. She is a great cook!

We got great tips for the area (we have some or actually very many left for next visit also). Les Marguerites is a hidden gem as well as the mediaval village Alet les Bains. The surrounding countryside is also charming. We enjoyed a lot our long walks in the village and driving around the area nearby. Can´t wait travelling back there. Our stay was relaxing - and must say perfect. There are not enough stars (should be more than 5)!

Room Tip: All the rooms are unique and special

Wonderful, welcoming - like an extended family! We had a great three nights here in Les Margarites. Alet itself isn't a hotbed of fun and needs a good restaurant, but Limoux is a very short drive away and provides that. Can't recommend the hotel enough though. Fabulous rooms for us and the children in a beautiful setting. If you have children, don't hesitate - it's perfect. There's no pool but the piscine municipal is lovely. We will return!

We stayed here with my sister and her family for 3 nights in August 2013 and we would not hesitate to recommend it. We will definitely come back to revisit. Where to start? The house is beautifully restored and the rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Antoinette's warm welcome and delicious cooking were much appreciated - even catering for our mainly vegetarian group. We had four children in our group, ranging from 2 years to 8 years, who just loved the trampoline and climbing frame. Breakfast under the trees in the lovely garden was a fantastic start to the day. Antoinette was a font of knowledge about the local area and there were maps and guide books to borrow and peruse to find out more.

Spent a week on a family holiday, with ages spreading from 9 to 80, taking over all the rooms. It was perfect for us. All the rooms were large, bright and airy, with huge brand new, but in keeping, bathrooms. Bed linen was top quality and the rooms were spotless - cleaned from top to bottom every day, and sheets changed frequently. The house is in the middle of the village, so you feel like you're staying in your own home, and has a lovely big garden. Meals were taken on a long table under the trees in the garden, or in the big kitchen in less clement weather. There were loads of chairs, hammocks, loungers to relax in around the garden. Not far from Carcasonne, you can either drive or get a train or bus in to view the sights, or shopping. Though we found we hardly moved from the village and surrounding towns. Within walking distance there's a swimming pool, kayaking on the river and other activities. Plus the local markets are worth a visit. Alet itself is a pretty village with an abbey and ruined cathedral, a medieval square with traditional houses, small winding little streets with a couple of restaurants and shops. Antoinette and Keith were the perfect hosts with loads of recommendations of what to do in the area.

Room Tip: Two connecting rooms at the front of the house are great for families. And there are a couple of roo...

This is our third visit to this unique and charming place which never ceases to amaze us. Wonderful hosts- nothing is ever too much trouble for them- and the accomodation is luxurious in every last detail. We truly can recommend this place for families but its also ideal for couples or individual travellers too. Everyone is made to feel special and welcome.

The whole family came for a week to celebrate my parents' Golden Wedding Anniversary. Les Marguerites was perfect. We stayed in the family suite which was very spacious. All the rooms were beautifully restored in keeping with the character of the house and the bathrooms were brand new and very clean. Antoinette and Keith were charming hosts and Antoinette keeps the house spotless. The beds have beautiful bed linen and the house is full of lovely pieces of vintage furniture. Dinner and breakfast were served outside under the trees and the food was delicious. There is plenty to do in the village - kayaking, a swimming pool and a 'tree top' acro park. We had a wonderful relaxing week and I would highly recommend Les Marguerites to other couples and to families.

Room Tip: Family suite on first floor was excellent.
