“Safari Loving”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

I stayed here in October 2013, and although my review is a bit late , all these months later, the lodge holds fond memories. I booked this as a birthday treat for my little boy , and it ended up being a treat for us all. From the time you enter, the staff are warm and hospitable. It is a scenic and beautiful lodge , with 5 star trimmings. Service is provided by a small group of staff who do their job very well. The rooms were comfortable, and had an outdoorsy feel. The food was of a great standard, my fish was cooked well for dinner, and the pecan tart and homemade cinnamon icecream was a fantastic treat to end the day with . My son and friend's kids were a little fussy and the restaurant staff were happy to make them something off the night's menu.
The game drives are the real star of this show, Kenny our game ranger, had amazing knowledge on the animals.. and animals we did see. 22 giraffes roaming together. Elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and we saw a lion hunt a giraffe, a moment where we all held our breaths and were in total awe... we saw the hunt, but not the kill , as the lion retreated. Snacks are provided on the game drives and they are well organised and leave at the prescribed time. The cheetah conservation nearby is a must-visit as well, and we saw a leopard there and African wild cats.
Altogether I would definitely return, really enjoyed the trip, one night was just too short.

Amazing rooms, Safari guides were extremely knowledgeable and work hard to make your safari's out of this world. The food was to an exceptional standard and I only wish we had more than our 3 nights. We went at the end of April and although it was a little cold in the mornings, the days were lovely and warm, we saw so many animals and had some of the best nights sleep we have had for a while. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Great food, wonderful and warm hospitality, beautiful setting and tastefully decorated rooms. Our stay was so good we regretted booking for only two nights. Undoubtedly the ideal way to experience an African Safari

From the staff to the food and game drives, I could not fault them. The kids (12 & 15) had a ball as well. The rooms were amazing, the attention to details superb. The game drives were a new experience every time. Take some warm clothes for the early morning drives. Would recommend Nambiti to everyone.

We stayed at the Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge 7th-10th April and what an amazing venue it is. Initially we were reluctant to write this review because it should be kept a secret, it is perfect in everyway, which makes the comment by sandford1704 somewhat surprising. The staff were exceptional, the chef produced some amazing meals, all fine dining and with care. Our game warden, Andre was a true fountain of all knowledge with regard to the environment, conservation issues and exactly where to find the various game. The accommodation was first class in its presentation, cleanliness and situation. Unfortunately our stay was just too short but we were assured with talking to other guests staying at the same time that our views of Nambiti Hills were indeed shared by all. This is a must venue to visit, Enjoy

Room Tip: See if you can get Andre as your guide, a brilliant young man, being a fountain of knowledge!

We arrived today and are SO disappointed. Due to recent surgery I have a number of dietary restrictions which I had communicated fully in advance. they had not received the information from head office so on arrival there was nothing I could eat. the wifi in the room was not available the telephone didn't work the four course meal advertised is a mistake as there are 2 or 3 courses at no point has there been a rectification. if I could I would leave now. could not be more disappointed.
