This was our first Ski trip to Austria and found the resort to be very well equipped and convenient.

We drove from Budapest to the resort. On arrival, even at night, the mountain pass roads were excellent. Ensure that you have a good updated GPS for the "labyrinth" through Treffen. Parking is provided by the hotel and we found this a gem of convenience as the entrance to the slopes is from the parking garage. We could change at the car into ski boots and walk a few meters to the slope access path.

The rooms are well equipped with self catering facilities. There is a stove (No oven), Small Fridge, Toaster, Kettle in the kitchen. The cups are quite small, so if you enjoy a big cup of coffee in the morning on the balcony, bring your own mug!

The bathroom has a shower (No bath), towels and some soaps. Face cloths are not provided.

The bedroom is spacious with a double bed. The lounge area has a comfortable couch which sleeps 2 persons. We were situated on the fifth floor and the views of the mountains are breathtaking.

The restaurant is quite expensive for what is offered. You will only get a buffet - Starter soup, main with a meat or vegetarian choice and desert. There is also a separate kids menu with the same choices. At EUR 21 per person, it is easier to eat breakfast and dinner in the apartment and lunch at the Ski resort. There are a number of well stocked supermarkets in Treffen (Spar, Hoffer and Lidl) where you can buy food etc... If by car, the hotel will provided a pass to leave and return to the resort without paying the parking fees. You can also catch a ski lift to the town, walk to the Spar and return by ski lift if needed.

There is an indoor swimming pool and a sauna. The pool is excellent for children and adults. Wi-Fi access is not available so ensure you have roaming if needed.

The ski lifts are 600m ski downhill from the resort, so VERY close and convenient. To return to the hotel, you can take the small ski lift and ski down about 500m quite easily. There are two ski schools - one at the hotel and one by the ski lifts. We used the school by the ski lifts and found the team very professional.

In summary, very convenient, excellent for families and ski beginners!!!!

Room Tip: Rooms on the fifth floor have great views. All rooms have balconies.

The hotel is nice and clean and really close to the slopes. The rooms are well furbished and spacious enough. The staff is well trained and kind.
The restaurant is OK and there are activities for the kids as well. They have their own ski-school so you can enjoy your freedom in skiing whilst your kids are well looked after.
The wellness area is very basic. The swimming pool is shallow (therefore OK for small kids) and the sauna area is lacking fantasy and beauty.
There is a small shop on-site where you can buy basic things.
The road from the valley to the hotel is scary (narrow and steap) especially if you are not used to drive in mountains. If snowing you need to use snow-chains (it is compulsory).
The ski slopes are very well maintained and there are a lot of pubs and restaurants around.
The area is beautiful and the Ossiacher See is a must-see lake!
If you do self catering there is a shopping center at the valley so you can buy everything you need. Even if you do not risk driving down to the valley you can use the ski lift to get down and from there you need to walk only 20 minutes to reach the shopping center.
In summary it is a very nice place and I wil go back definitely next year!

Room Tip: The hotel is quite big so rooms close to the elevator are more convenient.
