Beautiful food, tremendous wine list, elegant surroundings and expertly served. Maybe a bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

We had half-pension but the quality was very good. The starter (mousse, 4 days in a row) was not very inventive but the rest was excellent. The balance between nouveau / classic cuisine was very good.

Truly unexpected find in a little village, each course was a delight and my husband is still raving about the langoustine carpaccio, I would love to have seen how they sliced it so thin! The service was excellent in spite of the restaurant being full and 2 separate parties in adjoining rooms, you never felt rushed or neglected the meal was served at the right pace. I was very impressed when they served us a sorbet between courses and poured rose Lanson champagne over it! The wine list is huge and takes a bit of reading, my only criticism was our expensive bottle of wine should have been decanted and wasn't, otherwise we could not fault the quality of the food or the service and had a very enjoyable evening. Well done to you all and would certainly visit again if we were in the area.

A good classical French food. It is not exceptional, but still the quality is very high. The wine list is overwhelmingly huge. The furniture and the atmosphere seems quite posh and it is in contrast with shorts and flip-flop dressed tourists. It seems that the hotel is a stopover destination for Champagne shopping trips. The service is also good with a lot of young apprentices (could be a coincidence for our visit only). A convenient place to stay with a good food but without a charm and “kick”.

I took the menu degustation (90 Euro) and asked the sommelier to choose my wines for each dish. First, the "menu degustation" was just hobbled together from the rest of the menu, so it wasn't anything different or exciting. The foie gras in the first course wasn't properly deveined. The sea bass was very good, and the surprise was that it had a sprig of lavender stabbed into it, lending a tiny bit of flavor to it, but not overpowering the bass. The sorbet in rose champagne was very nice, though too frozen. The foie on the beef was soggy, while the meat itself was excellent. The three different deserts were excellent.

The wine chosen by the sommelier were spot on, except for the supermarket chablis for the bass - I wanted something a little more daring and unusual, rather than something I can pick up at the store...

All in all, a good meal, but when it's priced like a Michelin restaurant, you expect that extra level of quality and surprise.
