I've been eating there about 5 times and am always very impressed and amazed by this restaurant. The only problem is that it is not wheelchair accessible (stairs and inaccessible bathroom): with an upgrade on this problem, it would be perfect.

This is a Michelin two star establishment with commensurate pricing. We have eaten in many two stars in Europe and this is our least favorite. Everything was good, there can be no doubt, but nothing was outstanding either in conception, taste or presentation. What is more, we did not care for their way of running the beginning of the meal. they present a list of amuse-bouche on the table then ask what aperitif you want and then serve each morsel one by one, taking a long while, all this before giving you the menu.As an extremely experienced restaurant-goer, I have never seen this. the actual interest of the amuse-bouche was not great. Nothing bad, of course We had the Menu Decouvertes at 104 euros and were not impressed by the pintade (guinea-fowl) dish frankly. And cheeses would have been a 25 euro supplement; Somehow I get the feeling that M Aribert has calculated his profit margins a bit too obviously. To his credit there were four small desserts; Then the waitress, not very smiley, by the way said " we are going to serve you mignardises, would you like a coffee or after dinner drink on the terrasse?" Somehow this did not sound right. No generosity on the mignardises, either. All in all honestly, I would personally not make a trip here to eat, two stars or not. The view on the garden is nice, of course.
There seemed to be lacking generosity in the whole conception.

My family and I have been visiting this Restaurant for the 10th time this year, and are always amazed by the outstanding creativity of the chef. The quality of the food is absolutely unique, and every single dish is a masterpiece.
Even when ordering the smallest menu, you will get many extras. For example, the dinner starts with 6 different appetizers, as well as with an hors d'oeuvre. At the end, you will be served 3 desserts which are also not mentioned when you order. Moving from surprise to surprise, you will enjoy a superb dining experience, without the feeling of having eaten too much.

I Had dinner here on two consecutive evenings while staying in the Hotel. ( see Grand Hôtel Les Terrasses Report ) The first night we were four people and the food was excellent. I had Salmon which was perfect and so was the recommended wine from the region. It was a very plesant experience worthy of the reputation.

The second night we were a pre reserved group of about 18 people and it seemed to stretch the Kitchen beyond the optimum. The quality of the food was not as good as the first night and the service was not able to keep up. pity really as it is a very nice place. But at the price they charge It is fair to expect the best.

Amazing restaurant in a small town close to Grenoble. Service is exquisite, wine list superb. However, the true experience is the food. We had a tasting menu with 19 different dishes, each one more surprising and delicious without being way too experimental. As a starter, I thought the salmon with blown up rice, lemon was delicious as were the sea snails with curry. Special mention as main course would be the artichoke with artichoke pure, the quails egg with coliflower and mushrooms and the pigeon with mint. Cheese board was outstanding. A wonderful experience.
