I'm a support worker for an adult with a learning difficulty and she really wanted to go on the tour- she was not disappointed. The tour guides were very friendly and understanding, we had Lenore who struck a good balance between fun and informative. Free crisps of course, but it stands on its own two feet without them.
Parking isn't available but had no problem parking in the street outside. Tour is about an hour/ an hour and a half. Left Belfast at half 9 and was back for 3 o clock (and that was after staying to have lunch in tandragee), so a good, compact day trip.
They could make a bit more money with a cafe at the end so people get an actual lunch and not just a load of crisps!More
Wonderful trip to Tayto Castle today. Received a very warm welcome on arrival. Given a hat and apron to wear. Mr Tayto himself was wonderful, and posed for photographs. All staff were really lovely, and Lauren was our guide. She was very friendly, informative, and we got to taste loads of different flavoured crisps throughout our tour. The tour itself is very interesting, and I have to say we really enjoyed it, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. It was brilliant from start to finish. Thank you so very much to all the staff.....especially Lauren........from Lesley and Clive Hunston
The tour of the Tayto factory today was fantastic. There is no parking at the factory but there is plenty of on street parking.
Our guide Lauren was very friendly and gave us plenty of time to watch the process and to ask questions. Lots of samples were handed out so anyone going to visit would be advised not to eat a big breakfast / lunch .
Highly recommend a visit here.
Tayto castle tour was fantastic from start to finish. Car parking was free on the main Street opposite the front gate. The staff were cheerful and pleasant. Lynore was our guide and she was very informative and friendly. We got a lovely family photo with Mr Tayto because a member of staff was willing to take the photo. You also get to taste SO many crisps at the different stages, from just being fried to they are being packaged. Before you leave everyone gets a 6 pack of Tayto crisps to bring home. Brilliant day out and excellent value for money. Thank you from the Haskins family.
From start to finish the tour was professional, entertaining and well worth the money. The staff were pleasant witty and very friendly ,.Our host explained the history of Tattoo and our individual guide Laurin was excellent.
